Felicity' POV

After what had happened between Daniel and I we were kind of close. I was walking through the crowded hallway at my school trying to get to my locker. Why was it so busy? Once I got to my locker I realized why. I gasped covering my mouth with my hand. Standing in front of my locker was Daniel holding two tickets and a bouquet of flowers. Beside him on my locker was a big poster with Will you go to the mid-year dance with me? In glittery marker. Every year my school held two dances. One in the middle of the year and a joint one with another school at the end of the year.

I had completely forgotten that the dance was this Friday. A.K.A in three days! A second later I almost fell over in laughter. Daniel had an annoyed look on his face while on his phone. He was leaning against my locker while girls surrounded him curious about who he was asking and if it was them. "Ahem," I cleared my throat. "I need to get to my locker." He looked up at me. "Um, Felicity will you go to the dance with me?" He said avoiding all the angry looks that all the girls were giving him. One girl next to me burst out crying and ran away

"Yeah sure," I said. I forgot about the dance and any date that I could get was a good one. But I did feel weirdly happy that Daniel asked me. Not Mia or Quinn, not any other girl in the entire school. Me. Plain, boring Felicity. What! You thought I was serious! Of course he chose me! I'm fabulous!

I put my bag in my locker and walked away without a care in the world. But my mind was whirring with thoughts. What was I going to wear? I wanted to wear something that showed my personality and made me look drop dead gorgeous. My hair had to be done perfectly, my makeup had to be done exquisitely. I had to look like a queen. I was the girl that Daniel asked to the dance. I had to meet up to everyone's expectations.

Elle's POV

Daniel had asked Felicity to the dance. The dance that I had forgotten about. It was Wednesday and the dance was on Friday. Daniel asked Felicity yesterday. I had only one day until the dance and I still didn't have a date. Neither did Malia, we both made an agreement. If we both don't have dates by the time of the dance we'll go together as friends. I took a deep breath and went to Malia and Felicity. It was the last lesson of the day and we were bored out of our minds. "Pssst,"
Malia whispered to Felicity and I.

We both looked to her. "After school dress shopping?" She asked us. We nodded in approval. She turned back to her work. I zoned out for the rest of the lesson. I grabbed my books and walked to my locker to get my bag. I put my books in my bag and rummaged through my messy locker trying to find something. "Aha!" I said grabbing my notes out of my locker. I shoved it into my bag and tried to zip it up.

I met Felicity and Malia in the parking lot. We took the bus to the Mall to buy dresses for the dance. The first shop we entered was extremely pink and smelled strongly of bubblegum.
Malia fell in love with a light pink dress.

The dress went a little bit below her knees and fit her perfectly

The dress went a little bit below her knees and fit her perfectly. She looked like a supermodel when she tried it on. The next shop wasn't as pink, it had a larger variety of dresses in many colors. Felicity took longer to find a dress than Malia did as she spent ages walking. Back and forth through the shop. She eventually chose a red dress that reached the floor and made her also look like a supermodel.

I out of the three of us spent the longest choosing a dress. We went from shop to shop but I didn't see anything that stood out to me. All of the dresses looked similar. Most of the ones I tried on made me look like an ugly potato. And the ones that did make me look nice were really expensive. Until I found the perfect dress. It was a light blue color and it reached my knees. The top half of the dress was made out of lace.

I didn't look like a supermodel like Malia and Felicity did, I looked more like a model's understudy

I didn't look like a supermodel like Malia and Felicity did, I looked more like a model's understudy. I imagined myself with my hair done and makeup done and smiled to myself. Even if I didn't have a date I would still have a good time.
