: The Talk :

Sashas POV

I woke up and groaned as streaks of sunlight were coming in the room

I squinted but then got adjusted to the light and turned to see my clock read 10:30 am

I went into my bathroom and washed my face and brushed my hair down. You see brushing my hair down was difficult since I have curly hair that was hard to tame

After combing my hair, I put it up in a ponytail and brushed my teeth

I went downstairs and saw a note on the table

Sasha,

I am currently out shopping and won't be back for a couple of hours. I have the cabinets fully stocked so you can eat anything

Oh and your dad is upstairs

I read the message and just in time, I saw my dad going down the stairs. My eyes welled up in tears and I ran to him, wrapping my arms around his torso

I haven't seen my dad in 2 months because of his job

"Hey sweetie! I missed you so much" my dad cooed

"I missed you too dad" I cried silently

"Oh sweetie. Stop crying. I don't want to see my baby girl cry. Plus I'll be here for the rest of the year because I have no more jobs to attend to" my dad said

"Really?!" I asked ecstatic

"Yes. Now let's eat. I came in last night very late and I havent had any food. So I think it would be best if I am fed" he joked

"Haha. Okay dad" I replied laughing

I cooked rice and sausage and placed the servings in front of my dad and I

We started eating and the thought just popped into my head

"Dad! I almost forgot to tell you something!"

"What is it?" He asked intrigued

"Well.. You know Mr. Valdez, right?"

"Yeah I do. He's your professor, isn't he?"

Yeah. And he offered me something"

"What would that something be?"

"Well he said since my grades are doing excellent in school, he offered me the chance to go to any school I want" I said grinning like a child on christmas

My dads mouth dropped and he looked at me wide eyed

"R-Really? Is-Is that true?" He said,his eyes welling up with tears. I nodded
