: Goodbye :

Sasha's POV

I laid in bed thinking about yesterday. I decided to visit today when visiting hours would start. It was now 7 in the morning amd visiting hours would start at 9 so I decided to get ready

I showered and grabbed a pair of black jeans and a tshirt. I grabbed a pair of slippers and went downstairs and decided to just eat cereal

I grabbed my Koko Krunch since that was the only cereal left and I poured milk on it. I quickly ate it and grabbed the keys and drove to the hospital

~~~~~
I went to the front desk and asked for my mother. The nurse said you should be able to see her amd as soon as I heard the news I ran to her room which was in room 217
I didn't bother to use the elevator since it would take forever. Instead I used the stairs and ran up to the second floor
I looked at the numbers 212...213...214..215..216.. Aha! 217!!
I opened the door quietly this time and saw my mom on the bed sleeping soundly, her body looking much more frail than it was. You could definetely tell she was sick
I grabbed a chair and sat beside her and held her hand. She fluttered her eyes open and saw me sitting beside her
"Hey honey" she said, her voice sounding weak
"Mom" I said hugging her gently as if she was gonna break
"How are you?" She asked, clearly not wanting to talk about the situation at hand
"I'm good. I made five friends. It's weird cause they are boys but do you remember the band that I obsess over?" I said
"Yeah. Who was it? One Direction? I remember the blonde one being your favorite" she asked looking at me questioningly
"Well we are actually neighbours since they live the floor below where I live and we are now practically best friends. They are truly great friends" I said reminiscing
"Well I hope they treat you right" she said smiling at me
"They do" I said smiling at the thought
"Well honey. I'm quite tired so I'm gonna go sleep. Just remember that I love you and your father always. Find that special someone you deserve" she said as if she was saying goodbye but of course the oblivious me didn't know that
"I will Mom" I said smiling at her
"You promise?"
"I promise" I said hugging her
"Goodbye darling" she said. Wait what?
"Mom, why are you saying goodbye?" I asked. Stupid, I know
"I know I lost the battle, honey. I never took any medication because I didn't want to suffer. I love you, alright?" She said cupping my face
"I-I love you t-too Mom" I said tears streaming down my face.
She closed her eyes and after a while, I heard the monitor go to the constant beeping indicating she was gone. I silently cried
You might be wondering why I'm not throwing a tantrum right now, that's because I saw it from my mother's perspective. She chose not to take medication because she knew it was the best choice, she always chose the best choice for everyone, and she wouldn't be suffering through the pain she would be feeling. Going through chemotherapy wasn't exactly her cup her tea
I just stood there frozen, feeling the aura of the room completely change. From hope to completely lifeless. I crawled over to her and held her hand
"I promise I'll do everything you say, Mom"
