11. Round 2-A! Angel's Knight!

Waku is at his home, preparing his deck.

Waku(thinking): Today is the day of Round 2 of the tournament. I will duel against Sylvian. He has beat both Aki and Evrim, he'll definitely give me some trouble. But I've prepared my deck. It should be able to counter his.

Sylvian is at home, preparing his deck.

Sylvian(thinking): Waku. I've dueled WITH you, but now I'll have to duel against you.

Evrim is at home, preparing to leave out the door.

Evrim(thinking): Watch out, Kojo. Your One Turn Kill won't work on me.

At the duel arena:

Aki and Evrim sit down.

Host: We will now welcome the duelists of Round 2 A, WAKU AND SYLVIAN!

The two of them walk up the stage.

Sylvian: Let's do this, Waku.

Waku: Yeah.

Sylvian/Waku: DUEL!

Sylvian: I'll go first. Draw! I summon Speed Angel, defense position.

Speed Angel's Stats: 1600 Attack, 900 Defense

Waku(thinking): Why would he put a monster with such weak defense in defense position?

Sylvian: I set one card. Turn end.

Waku: My turn. Draw! I summon Treekai, in attack position.

Treekai's Stats: 1400 Attack, 1100 Defense

Waku: Then, magic card: Goblin Song! This lets me special summon a Level 4 or lower Goblin monster from my deck. I special summon War Goblin.

War Goblin's Stats: 1750 Attack, 1750 Defense

Waku: Treekai, attack Speed Angel!

Speed Angel is destroyed.

Waku: Then, War Goblin attacks you directly!

Sylvian: Reverse trap open: Negate Attack! Your attack is negated.

Waku: Turn end.

Sylvian: Draw! I summon Winged Angel, in defense.

Winged Angel's Stats: 1600 Attack, 1500 Defense

Waku(thinking): Again?

Sylvian: Then, magic card: One Turn Skip! This card causes the game to forward one turn. This means I can normal summon again. I summon Earth Angel, defense position.

Earth Angel's Stats: 1400 Attack, 1600 Defense

Sylvian: Then the magic card: Weakened! This lowers the attack and defense of all the monsters on my field by 500.

Waku: WHAT?!

Winged Angel's New Stats: 1100 Attack, 1000 Defense

Earth Angel's New Stats: 900 Attack, 1100 Defense

Waku(thinking): Why is he putting everything in defense position? And even more suspiciously, he purposedly lowered his attack and defense.

Sylvian: Turn end.

Waku: Treekai, attack Earth Angel! War Goblin, attack Winged Angel.

The two monsters are destroyed.

Waku(thinking): What is he playing at?

Waku: Turn end.

Sylvian: My turn now. Draw! I summon Angel Wall, defense position.
