Lexie's POV
I burst out laughing, not even bothering to care that I have a piece of bright blue gum in my mouth.
"It's not funny" Maya snaps, pushing my shoulder hard.
"It so is" I laugh nodding, staring back at the picture on the phone screen. "Look at you and Jason's faces!"
"You suck."
"I know."
Thanks to Cameron's quick phone-grabbing reflexes, he was able to take a photo at just the right moment. Maya looks like she wants to murder someone and Jason looks like he's a moment away from death.
"It wasn't that funny. If anything it hurt like a bitch."
I close the phone and stuff it into my pocket. "The only one who should hurt like a bitch is Jason. I mean, you did push him and Ian off of a chair."
She shrugs, stepping forward in the line and I follow. "He had it coming."
I roll my eyes. "That's no excuse."
"Shut up" she sticks her tongue out at me, "you're just jealous that I was close enough to push the idiot off and you weren't."
We reach the end of the line and I sigh in relief, pulling out my wallet. "Thank god. I thought we were going to be here for another hour at least."
"It's feels like we have."
"What can I help you with?" The woman asks looking like she's done with everything at this point.
"I'll have a large Chocolate and Vanilla swirl cone with sprinkles" I reply, handing her a five dollar bill.
She nods, quickly putting it into the cashier and handing me back my change. She grabs a large cone, opening the sliding door and scooping two large scoops quickly into my cone before handing it to me.
"Thanks" I smile.
She smiles in response, turning to face Maya. "Can I get you anything?"
"Yeah" she nods. "I'll have a large Strawberry cone."
I don't bother waiting, turning around and starting to walk away.
"Aren't you going to wait?" Maya asks. "I did for you."
I don't turn around, waving one of my hands in the air dismissively. "I'm too lazy and I don't want my ice cream to melt."
"You really suck now." She calls and I laugh.
"That took you guys forever" Cameron comments as I reach the table.
I grin, plopping myself down in the chair next to him as he grins, throwing his arm over my shoulder and pulling me into his side.
"There was a long line" I shrug, licking my ice cream. "Not my fault."
I go to take another lick but he stops me, reaching forward and taking a bite out of my poor ice cream instead.
