Wouldn't Trade You

Chapter 1

"Hey Mia, you and Daniella should take Bryson down to the skate park" My mother spoke busting into my room causing me and Daniella to remove our glued eyes from our phones.
"Mom, it's Saturday. I want to stay home, he's not even good at skateboarding" I whined.
"I don't care, I told you to take your little brother to the skatepark. Now do as I asked" she demanded.
"Come on, Mia. Maybe it will be fun. And maybe we can find me a hot skater boy" she smiled.
"See, fun and skater boys" my mom pointed out and walked away.
I got up rolling my eyes and going to my closet to put on athletic shorts and a maroon obey shirt. I slipped on my nikes and walked out of my room. Daniella followed me out and we got my brother.
"Come on I'm not waiting all day" I said busting into his room.
He quickly stood up and turned off his PlayStation grabbing his skateboard and running out. I closed the door after him then we all went down stairs and decided to walk to the skatepark since it was right next to my house. Bryson ran far ahead of me and Daniella but I never stopped him. Daniella and I finally made it to the skatepark seeing that Bryson has already gotten a start on practicing. All he could do was ride about ten feet before falling off, but that boy was not giving up.
I felt Daniella lean over to me "how about a hot scooter boy?"
I look over to see two guys riding a scooter and I start to chuckle to myself "which one?" I asked.
"The one with darker hair and blonde on the top." She said with a smile
She then got up and walked over there.
"Daniella" I said trying to get her to come back before she embarrassed herself. "Daniella" I tried again but she was all for it. I decided to join so if she got embarrassed I'd get embarrassed too.
I walked up to them and Dana greeted the guy she had her eyes on. Apparently his name is Jake and he lives super close to the skate park too. With them flirting it left me and Jakes friend alone, it was super awkward considering I've never even met the guy.
"Hey I'm Tanner" he held his hand in a fist for me to fist bump him.
"Mia" I said picking up my phone, I hate to be rude but me and Caden are in a good spot right now and I don't feel like messing anything up between me and him.
"Alright cool." He said putting his hand down. "Do you skate?" He asked trying to continue this awkward conversation.
"No, no." I pause pointing to my little brother "my mom forced me to take my little brother down here to do something he's not even good at."
"He could get good at it" he shrugged.
"Yeah, I got to go" I said turning around to see Daniella putting her number in Jakes phone.
"Daniella, come on" I said grabbing her hand and grabbing my brother before pulling them both out.
"That was so awkward" I said walking back home.
"That was so great" Daniella spoke with a big smile on her face. "He was so sweet and he asked for my number"
"Glad one of us had fun" I said sarcastically
"I was having fun until you pulled me out of there" Bryson whined.
"I'll take you another time and we can stay longer" I said so he would stop whining.
We went home while Daniella prayed for a text all night from Jake.

Next chapters will be longer this was kinda just a little intro so you could get to know the characters a little more.
Mia has a mom, and a six year old little brother. A best friend named Daniella and a boyfriend named Caden. Daniella is obviously interested and Jake. And Tanner is Jakes best friend.
That's really all you need to know for now anything else will be explained in more detail in the book.
