Dear Emily,
I laughed today. I'm telling you, because it wasn't a laugh I forced to make my mom think I was okay. It wasn't a nervous laugh that I do when I meet someone new or don't know how to explain something. It was a real, genuine laugh.
But it only lasted a split second, and I automatically regretted it. I shouldn't be laughing. You're not able to laugh. You're dead. And it's all because of me.
- Delilah.
