Dear Emily,

I ran away last night. Perhaps that isn't the best term. I wouldn't call it running away because I knew I would come back. I wasn't trying to leave home, I wasn't trying to leave my family. I was trying to leave you. At first, I didn't really know what I was doing. I just got out of bed, put my shoes on and grabbed a coat. My parents didn't even hear me leave. I started walking, but it turned into jogging and then running. I was trying to literally run away from you. I was trying to run away from your memory, from everything. But it didn't work. You're still there. You'll always be there...
