I Think I Have Fins... Chapter 13

Avery's POV:

I felt the wave grab and start to pull me to the pool. Part of me knew I had to do this though the other part wished I didn't. I felt myself start to drift under, I felt myself start to transform. I heard commotion and saw the light that filled the pool start to dim. I saw the entire world go completely black. 

I knew I was about to die. I could feel it. I would be the girl who sacrificed her life for a witch. Soon enough I was gone. 

I opened my eyes a little bit and saw a blinding white light, I saw people in robes, talking to me. They were about to say something when I felt myself leave the room, I felt myself into darkness I was in before. I felt myself cough. I couldn't remember what they were saying in that room, if they revived me or if I would be going to a different place but what I did know was that I was waking up. 

I heard gasps and many voices,  I even heard a loud whoop! I kept coughing, I guess this is what it feels like to get your life back in your body. I started to open my eyes. Than I realized that Misty could have jumped in with me. I felt sudden panic but couldn't do anything about it. I was too weak. I looked up. "Misty?" I asked. I sounded to weak, it made me feel like I was actually dying. But I guess I might have already been dead! 

"yes, yes it's me." Misty said silently and soothingly. I was defiantly dead if they all were so cautious around me. "Are you still a witch?" I said so weekly again. Ugh! I hate sounding this pathetic. She nodded and smiled. "Good." I said. I coughed again. Mike came to me he was going to help me stand. 

"Avery you were dead!" So it was confirmed. "That's where I was? I didn't feel dead, and look I'm alive right now!" Though I couldn't remember what happened in that room I didn't feel dead. Everyone laughed and I joined in. Both Mike and Angel helped me walk. I was going home. 

That night I decided to take a bath. I mean, it would make me feel a lot better. It took a while to get rid of Angel, but Mike wouldn't leave until my dad forced him out. It makes me feel good to know that my speech to Misty was true, these people are my family. 

I stepped into the bath and a few seconds later I felt something happen. I looked down and saw a tail. I started to panic but then I started to see some things. I was back in that room I was in when I was dead. One of the people looked at me. "You were dead, and now you are transformed." She tapped me on the fore head and suddenly I was sent back to the bathtub in my large tail. I waved it desperately and then rolled out of the water. In a few seconds my tail was gone. 

Now this would be an interesting story. I can't let them know of my visions, but my friends better know about my tail. 

Misty's POV:

As soon as Avery uttered those words we all froze. "So, your little miss Ariel?" Xander exclaimed. Mike just shoved him and looked at her. "Are you okay? After that entire dead thing?" She looked at us. "YES I'M FINE BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FINS THING!" She practically yelled. Uh-oh. What an adventure. 

"Avery, I think that when you went into the pool you transformed. There was a warning in the book." I said. Avery looked at me and was like, "And you didn't say anything when I came back to life?" I sighed. "Let's do some research in the library. Come on."  I said. 

What a wonderful adventure.
