"What even IS that thing?" I asked, my heart racing as I backed against the cage walls.

"It's a underhound. As in Hellhound." I looked at him, my eyebrows raised, shaking my head. I struggled to get the word out.

"Wh-wh-what?!" My heart was racing. "ANGEL!" I cried out to him. This time Mike began to talk.

"Listen, it shouldn't be that bad. I've killed some bad things in my life, and this one was hard to catch."

"ANGEL! One, this is a monster, a beast! Two, even if I could I can't kill this thing!" It started coming closer, a hairy beast, a monster, bigger than a dog yet crawling and growling like one. Droll was slowly falling from his mouth with big large teeth showing. Each growl grew larger as it slowly stalked up to me, looking excited at his chance to eat an innocent, young, girl.

"Misty! Come on! It shouldn't be too bad! I mean if it does something to you, hurts you or whatnot, Mike will bang it against the and I'll kill it myself." Like thats supposed to help me calm my nerves. The beast then came up against me and sniffed my leg.

"Eeeeww!"I squealed out.

"DO SOMEThiNG!" Mike called out and I shock my head. "you know what, fine." I leaned in and dived into a roll. "Gee, I wish I have a knife!" I cried out to my friends as I stood there crouching infront of the beast. It turned around, growling and it charged at me. I dogged and sent a wave of air in its direction, knocking it off its feet. It growled, its blood red eyes staring me in the eyes. I cocked my head and looked at it, curious of what it would do.

It jumped up and charged at me. I blocked it by getting a large wall of roses around be, startling the thing. It sniffed them and its expression melted. I looked at it and took the roses around me, mattering an incantation under my breath. I was trailing roses around me without having to get into my power, then I got to the spot I started in, not losing eye contact. He sniffed the roses until he reached my leg, surprised not to smell the roses. He growled then looked up. I magicked up some roses on my leg and I looked over, down at him.

I crouched down looking into his eyes, and slowly put my hand on his head. First he growled then I started scratching behind his ear. He fell down on his back and started making happy whining noises, just like a dog.  "Yeah, you like that." I smiled, I felt connected to this creature.

"Um, Misty? Whatcha doing there?" I heard Avery call out to me. She made a few screeches during our few second fight, but she hadn't said anything since Angel told me he was going to give me my next step in training.

I looked back at her, a smile on my face. "I think I love it." I heard Angel cry out.

"WHAT?" He shouted out.

"Can I keep it Angel, please?" I could tell he was shocked.

"Misty, no. Your joking." He said, clearly in denial of what I was proposing. But, I really loved this beast. Before I thought it was disgusting, now it is the cutest thing in the world.

"Please Angel Cakes!" I called out, making up a random nickname.

"What you saying, Misty please tell me your kidding that is a hell beast."I shock my head.

"No, I actually think this has promises. I mean, think. No hunter would be excpecting a Witch and a 'underhound' whatever the technical name is." He looked like he was thinking of it and I was so excited. Then Mike crushed my drams and said a simple no.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" He called out then Angel just shushed him.

"Actually, that might be a pretty good idea." Mike stared at him.

"Don't tell me your actually considering this." Angel just nodded his head, then started shacking it. "No, Angel please." He said.

"I actually think it would be sweet. Hey, Misty, you think I could touch it?" Avery called out. I waved my hand over and she stepped into the cage. I heard Mike and Angel talking about it, harshly but all I cared about was my best friend supporting me.

"Yeah, come here Avery. Be very gentle and slow, you don't wanna scare the beast." She laughed.

"I think I'll be some what ok."  She slowly crouched dow and started to pet the adorable little monster beast. "I think Angel will let you keep it, so it will need a name." She had a point. But what name should I give a creature Angel might kill. Or Mike for that matter. But still I was thinking.

"Maybe-" I started to say before Angel cut me off.

"Misty, we've agreed. You can keep, um,"

"Ash."

"What?"

"He's name will be Ash."
