And here I am again!!!!
I can't think of anything else to say, so...
There's This Guy. He Lives In My Room. Oh, Yeah, And He's A Ghost.
Chapter 18
Miles's POV
In that moment, I watch so many emotions fly across Taylors face.
Confusion.
Fear.
Sadness.
Love.
Hope.
"Miles?" She whispers.
My breath catches in my throat.
But my hope is short-lived.
Taylor shakes her head, rubbing her eyes. "I must be going crazy," She murmurs.
No.
No, I can't let this happen, not when I'm so close.
I guide the leaf back to her, catching her attention, and then I guide it back to my writing.
With her watching, I write:
'Taylor <3 Miles?'
She gasps.
She can't mistake it this time; she had literally watched the words appear.
I write:
'No, Taylor, you're not going crazy.'
Her mouth opens and closes.
I move over to an empty piece of ground.
'Taylor, keep your mouth closed, you're starting to look like a fish,' I write.
"But-but-but- Miles, didn't you leave?" She stutters.
'I did. But I had to come back.'
"Why?"
"I'll tell you later, and Finn. I just want to talk. Or write, whatever. I'm just so glad you know I'm here."
"Okay. But... Miles, why can't I see you?"
I pause before writing my reply. 'You know what? I really don't know.'
She lets out a choked gasp. "I'm just so glad I can talk to you again, I've missed you so much."
'I missed you too."
She wipes her eyes. "God, I must look a mess."
She's kinda right. Her mascara is smudged all round her eyes.
I'm laughing as I write, 'My honest answer? You look like a panda.'
A damn hot panda, I add silently.
She laughs. "God, you're funny, Miles. I love you."
