Rins POV

My hands were clutched tightly around the bunch of crimson red tulips. My trousers were soaked from the thin layer of snow that had formed on the grass, and my face was tear stained.

It had been exactly a year since he died. Someone had sold him a cigarette at a nightclub. They said that it was just the normal, tobacco filled stuff. But it wasn't.

Dell lit the cigarette, and blew out the slight flame, leaving only the red glow. I snuggled into him, breathing his smell of aftershave and tobacco. He brought the small paper tube to his mouth, and inhaled.

I felt him stiffen almost immediately. I jumped back and stared. Dell grabbed his chest, where his heart is. He slipped off the bench, and started coughing. Coughing blood.

I helped him get up, helped him get outside into the cleaner air. I dialled 999 (A/N I don't know what the emergency number is in Japan).

"999 How can we help you?" The man said over the line.

There was a lump in my throat, tears were streaming down my face. "Ambulance" I said slowly, trying to calm down and making sure he understood.

"Where are you?" The man said. I told him the name of the nightclub we were at. "Ok, and reason?"

My breath hitched, and I forced myself to speak, starting to scream. "It's my boyfriend, he took a cigarette and then he grabbed his chest and coughed blood and JUST GET OVER HERE, PLEASE!" I screamed.

In a few minutes the ambulance was there. I was patting Dell on the back, trying to comfort him. I helped him into the vehicle, where he instantly collapsed unconscious onto the thin mattress. One of the nurses told me to go and sit in a seat next to him, and I did. I grasped onto his hand.

I went into the hospital with him and sat in one of the seats by his bed, where I fell asleep. One of the nurses told me that I had to go about an hour after. I got up, and left.

When I got home, Len was sitting on the sofa, watching the television.

"I heard"

I jumped and looked at him. Len motioned for me to sit on the sofa next to him. I obeyed. I felt like a zombie, with no purpose. Len put his arm around me, and we sat there, just watching the images flash by on the screen.

I must of fallen asleep like that, because the next thing I knew I was in my bed, with my phone going off. I accepted the call.

"Ms. Kagamine? You might want to get down here... We're not sure if Mr. Honne is going to make it." One of the junior doctors said.

I dropped my phone. I ran out of my house, to the hospital that Dell was in, which was luckily not that far.

My hair was a mess and I was still wearing the clothes from yesterday.

I noticed the heart monitor almost immediately. It was beating irregularly. There was also a machine that was wired up to him.

"Ms. Kagamine?" someone said. I turned around and noticed a doctor.

Little did I know what a weirdo he was.

~Three months later~

I was the only one supporting Dell. I was low on money, as my parents refused to help. They also forbid Len from helping me.

I decided to turn off the life support, as he was only getting worse.

I cried for ages after that. I felt like I had murdered him. I had to go to all these therapist sessions to get back on track. And all that time that doctor was trying to flirt with me. Once he tried to kiss me, but I kneed him where the sun don't shine, and eventually called the police where they put a restraining order on him. I haven't seen him since.

I placed the tulips on the spot that is where his heart was. I stood up, and wiped the snow off of the top of his gravestone. I ran my finger across the rough stone, before I headed back home.
