Finding You

Chapter One

I huff out a breathe. I see the puff of my breath. It's getting cold. Winter is almost here. That means the mating season is around the corner. Soon unmated alphas are gonna search for there Lunas. Betas are gonna look for there beta females. So on and so forth. The males get to search and travel looking for there special someone.I don't want to meet my mate. I like where I live. I love my family. I love my pack.

With another huff I get up and stare out watching the waves crashing into the cliff. With one last deep breathe I turn around and run in my wolf form. I ran out of the house while me and my mother got into another huge debate about me having to look nice.

Flash Back

"Ellenor, sweetie where are all your nice cloths?" My mom says as she's walking out of my closet with my ripped jeans and my plain black tank tops.

"Mom, I'm 22 I don't need dresses. I don't care if I find my mate or not. I like my life just the way it is." I huff out.

"Ellie, I'll take you shopping. Maybe we will find you some nice cloths it doesn't need to be dresses per say. Maybe we can find you some nice black slacks or something?" She looks into my eyes with hope.

"Mom if he doesn't like me the way I am then he doesn't deserve me! I'm not changing who I am for some man that thinks he owns me!" I shout out at her.

"Ellenor Elizabeth Taylor! Is that how you speak to your mother! She is trying to help you. She isn't telling you to put on make up or to put your hair up nice all she's asking is that you look nice." My dad decided to walk into my room as he heard us arguing down the hall.

Flash back over

As I'm running another wolf joins me. Brown with a white paws in the back. Mya. My best friend. She's lucky she found dead her mate when she was 18. He's from our pack that's why she found him so early. Yes I'm a little jealous but only because she gets to stay here and I have to leave since my mate is not from here.

Ellie are you okay?

No Mya I'm not.

What's going on?

Mom and I got into another fight about dressing up. I don't want to be all fancy and pretending to be someone I'm not.

Ahh I see. Well you know it won't kill you to wear a sundress it can be black like your heart. Hehe

Umm how about not. I like my jeans and black tank tops that's who I am.i know you all are trying to help me but I don't want a mate I don't want to leave. I'm head warrior here. What if he won't let me who I am and tryst to change me?

Well Ellie I can't promise you anything but he's gonna have a hell of a time trying to change you. Don't let him change you. Be who you are. So dressing nice once in a while won't hurt you.

If you could see my eyes they would be rolling at you.

With that we just laughed. We talked and hunted together. Clearing my head before I decide to go home. We ran to our little creak we love and shifted back into our skin.

"Maya."

"Hmmm"

"Can I ask you something?"

"You just did." She giggled.

"What's it like you know being mated?"

"Well when Aaron found me it was amazing. You can smell your mate a mile away I swear. It's the best sent in the world. When you look into each other's eyes. It's like you have never seen someone as handsome as him. It really is love at first sight. Then when the speed it's as if you never heard anything so bliss. Ellie it really is amazing and you know your gonna be loved forever."

"It does sound amazing." I huffed out not really wanting to talk anymore. I was hoping she would tell me it sucked but I new better her and Aaron are amazing together and there happy.

"Well I better get going. My mom is probably freaking out. It's time for dinner and I'm not there. Hell I don't know why tho she wants me to find my mate and move away."

"That's not true. Well sorta but she wants you to be happy. Eventually you will go crazy without a mate. Do you like going threw heat alone?"

"Idk maybe. Idk but I have to go. Bye Mya. Tell Aaron hi for me." With that I shifted into my wolf and started to run home. I new I was getting closer because the pack village was coming to view. Wooden houses and children running around laughing. Parents watching sitting on picnic tables giggling and whispering into each other's ears.

Hmmm I kinda want that life but last year I didn't meet my mate. I know it can take a couple years but I don't want to give to much hope. I see our wooden house coming to view I can see my mom and dad in the window setting the table. The looks in their eyes says it all. I enter the house and they smile.

"Feel better now?" Mom asks. I shake my head yes and we sit down and start to eat. Mom and dad are talking about tomorrow. The Alphas are coming well the four who haven't found there mate yet.

"Ellenor you will be there to help me and the others to greet them as we are the top warriors. We need to show them around and escort them to the celebration party tomorrow night."

"Okay dad. Can I be excused I'm really tired."

"Yes, are you okay Ellie?" They both ask. I shake my head yes and leave the table. Going up stairs I walk into the bathroom and wash my day off and take a deep breath.
