You Got to Be Kidding Me

"Good Morning the High is 59 degrees this lovely Thursday morning" said voice on the radio my dad had on blaring through the house.

I let out a groan and rolled over in my bed but went too far. I hit the floor with thump and lay there for moment, eyes close and mumbled into the floor.

There was a meow as I heard Shadow by my head. I looked up little smiled at him as he licked my face making me feel a little bit better. I smiled a little but soon went away as I had a feeling I would at least have some burse from this. I sighed and pushed myself up to my knees and leaned against the bed. My legs under with me now crossed. I put shadow on my lap and petted him. He purred of course.

I looked around my room. My clothes already out for today. I knew it would be chilly. I sighed and looked at the time 5 am. Of course, I thought closing my eyes.

My dad must have been working on his project. Whatever it was this time I didn't know but he often played radio when he painted. Sometimes he got caught up in his work to even notice how loud it was.

My mother was most likely already up sense she didn't seem to mind the loud music sense she had ear plugs. She would often read the newspaper or chat with her friends before making breakfast for herself. Dad rarely ate while working. I, when this happen would make something for him and put it by him before going to school.

This was my crazy life I thought as the sound of radio announcer came back full force. I swear dad turn up the volume.

"In Locklynn News reports of Superhero Keep disappear in front of serval citizens who took early coffee run' he started off and his voice was loud but held a sense of worry. He cleared his throat and went on. His voice usually fun and loud was now quiet and serious.

"Folks, I don't know what's happening but seems like even more are disappearing but we must not be afraid. We must not let fear win" he went on and tune him out for moment biting my lip.

We didn't have a superhero in our city of Star Mountain And Yes, we don't live on mountain And they are voting to change the name to something more fitting. . Actually don't know why it's called that but oh well.

I was awakening from my random thoughts as there was sharp knock at my door than it was open. My Mother was there hands on her hips and serious face.

She glared at me before saying in sharp tone that almost made me wince

"What was that nose" she asked "are you trying to wake up everyone"

"How can I, when everyone is awake" I mumbled but she could still hear me. I saw her eyes narrow and bit my lip yet again. Note to self I needed to stop doing that.

Honestly me and my mom didn't get along well. I didn't hate her but we were different people. We just didn't get along and I don't think we will ever will. Honestly can't wait to graduate and move out.

I guess I was lost thought again because I heard a noise. My mother getting my attention. I wrapped my arms around Shadow carefully.

"Good sense you are up why don't you do something for once and take out the garbage and make yourself breakfast. Also, I wrote down school activities for you to do. And I want you to go look for a job" she said all of this fast. But I understand. Well I just started at her not blinking. Not being creepy but I was starting to get annoyed. I wasn't a morning person so you do the math.

She looked at me for moment sighed and left the room shutting the door kind of hard. I winced a little and put shadow down who went to play with his toys.

I got up and grabbed clothes for the day and head to the bathroom that was next to my room.

After take a shower and making sure to wash my hair with cold water she dried off and got dress. Looking in mirror for moment going to take garbage out.
