Chapter 18: I've missed you

I looked at him and he looked at me until I finally walked closer to him with shock but excitment all over my face.

"Is it... is it really you?" He asked just as shocked as I was.

"Yes Logan it's me, Oh my gosh I don't know what to say I've missed you so much and I..I'm just so sorry for what I said. It was wrong of me and when I saw you in the hospital I felt like complete shit." I said all at once. "And the worst part is that I was scared you wouldn't remember me or even know me. Or that you wouldn't feel the same anymore." I said looking upset.

"Sara I can't just forget everything especially not the way I felt about you in a couple of weeks, or months or however long it's been." He said laughing.

"Well at least you're not too upset, and yeah about 3 weeks." I replied smiling.

"Yeah I've been awake for a few hours now it's a little easier to understand now. But please don't be sorry I forgive you i'm just glad to finally see you again and this time i'm all real baby." He said laughing.

"Wow were you a stud back in your past life or something?" I asked.

"Nope just the best comedian around." He replied.

I heard the doctor walk in and he greeted me.

"Well it's nice to finally see you awake for the first time in a few months Mr. Paul, I looked over your paperwork and tests. And i'm happy to say that you should be out of here soon, you'll recover fine the nurse said you could walk, talk, and eat normally so be happy you're lucky to even be alive right now." He said.

Logan looked happier than ever. "Well thank you doctor but do you know exactly how long it will take until I can leave here and does my family even know I'm awake." He asked worried about what would happen now.

"Well I'm not exactly sure if I'd have to estimate I'd say about 2 weeks or sooner if you excel quickly. And yes your family has been notified they're all very excited and can't wait to see you." He said smiling.

"Alright well thank you doctor." He replied.

I was so excited that Logan was finally awake and that he had forgiven me I thought that if I tried hard enough we could actually be together for real this time. I just didn't know how to bring it up when would be a good time. I knew that even though he wasn't showing it he was going through a rough time right now. And even though I wanted to I was going to wait until he felt better and I was going to do everything I could to make him feel better.

Just then I saw I saw the same young man Jake from before walk in with his girlfriend and an older looking woman.

"Hey Logan how are you I missed you so much." The older woman said, and immediately started crying.

"Hey mom I missed you too." He said wrapping his arms around her and also started crying.

"Just so you know young man I'm not letting you ride that stupid motorcycle anymore I already took Jake's, and Alissa agreed with me." She said pointing to Alissa.

"Well who might you be?" She turned to me and smiled.

"Hello i'm Sara Sanders I'm just a volunteer here I was feeding him while he was in his coma." I said smiling back.

"That's embarrassing." I heard Logan say looking away from us.

"Oh Logan you got a crush or something." Jake said laughing.

Logan blushed slightly. "You're supposed to be crying and telling me how happy you are and how much you missed me, not already annoying me." He said causing everyone to laugh.

Jake and Alissa both walked over and hugged him. "I really did miss you bro but i'm just kidding." He said still in the hug.

"I missed you too and I know." He replied.

"Well it was nice seeing you again.. I mean awake." I said saving myself.

I didn't know why I didn't want anyone to know what had happened probably because everyone would think we're crazy but it's also pretty embarrassing.

"I'll see you tomorrow i'm sure you'll still be on my list." I said, telling everyone goodbye even though they didn't know me.

I walked out of the hospital room and down to the lobby to hand them my clipboard and head home. I started out to the parking lot and got in my car, the ride home was quiet no radio no talking just thoughts. If thoughts could be heard then it would have been pretty loud in there.

I made it to my house and went straight to my room and sat on my bed and started crying, I wasn't upset, at all actually I was crying the happiest tears ever, I was so excited.
