'Ok Lucas you can do this' I keep telling myself
' what if she says no?' I say again in my head
I need to stop overthinking things!
I'm just going to ask her, what's the worst thing that could happen??
'Hey Maya, could I talk to you for minute?'
I see Maya and Josh talking and acting all cutesy
'Sure huckleberry,' she says as she gets up off the sofa and walks towards me
'It doesn't matter now, don't worry about it' I say back
This isn't fair I want short stack to be mine, not his
Wait, am I jealous of Josh Matthews
' huckleberry just tell me, it's ok' Maya says to reassure me
'Ok but could we go some place more private?' I say as everyone is looking at us
'Oh, sure!' She replies back
We leave the room and go in a different room,
' so maya, this isn't easy for me, but........ I like you, but I guess your with josh now so it doesn't matter, but now at least you know' I shot out really fast
'Huckleberry are you jealous of josh??' She asks back
'What no I-' I say before she cuts me off
'Because you shouldn't be,' she says
'What, why??' I question
'Because I don't like josh like that anymore, it's you I like, I was just asking Josh how collage was going!' She giggles
'Oh, I guess I was jealous, look I'm really sorry Maya, I didn't mean to-' I say
She cuts me off with a short, sweet kiss
'Does that make you feel better?' She says and laughs
'You know what, it actually does,' I reply ' Maya, would you like to be my girlfriend!'
'No, I wouldn't like to.......................................................' she says
'What??!!' I say
'I'd love to!' Maya says back to me and grabs my hand
'Oh my gosh Maya, you scared me!'
'Ok let's get back to the movie!' She says as we're still holding hands and head back to the room with the others
The room was dark so no one saw us get back
Me and Maya sit next to each other on one sofa and Riley and Farkle are on the other sofa
Wow! Today's been a good day
