xxxv. boyfriend, huh?

   Hannah was there when they landed. Jared carried her bags and watched admiringly as Laurel and Hannah embraced. Toaster even gave the other brunette woman lots of kisses, laughter from the woman. Then Laurel introduced Hannah to Jared, introducing him as her boyfriend, which caused him to smile down at her fondly. Then the three of them headed to baggage and Hannah told embarrassing stories about Laurel in high school while Jared laughed.

    After that, they headed out to lunch and Jared got to know Laurel's best friend. Hannah also took a few pictures of them while they weren't paying attention. When they finished, Laurel went up to get them ice cream. While she was gone, Hannah gave Jared the best friend talk - the same as Jensen did when Jared told him about how he felt about the younger brunette - and he promised that he wouldn't ever hurt her.

    Once their ice cream was gone, they decide to head back to Laurel's so that they can meet up with Ty and Lucy, along with her reuniting with her horses [and meeting Janie]. So the three of them listened to music as Hannah drove them to Laurel's ranch.

   And once they got there, Toaster and Laurel flung themselves out of the car and ran towards the pasture that her horses were housed. Both Minnie and Daisy whinnied before galloping to the fence to meet their favorite owner and dog duo. Both horses affectionately nuzzled their faces into her chest, breathing heavily onto her through their noses. She chuckled, petting them and cooing sweet little sayings to the two horses.

    "So these are your horses?" Jared asked as he joined her at the fence, Hannah heading in to get Ty and Lucy.

    "Yes," she said, turning and grinning at him. "Daisy is the big one. And Minnie is this one here."

    Jared held out a hand and let her sniff it, then he began to pet her. His eyes wandered back to the girl standing next to him, whose hand was wrapped around his bicep as she used her other hand to pet her horse.

    "So, boyfriend, huh?" he asked.

    She looked up with wide eyes, "Oh God, that's how I introduced you, isn't it? I'm so sorry if that's not what you are. I just thought-"

    "Chill, Laur. You thought right. You're my girlfriend. I'm just teasing you."

    "Okay," she said with a grin, then she climbed up one railing on the fence and pressed her lips to his. "I'm glad. Now let's meet Janie and Lena."

    He smiled as she twisted enough to look out farther into the pasture, where the other two horses were lazily grazing. She whistled, causing them both to look up and then once the gray one recognized Laurel, she came running. The other one soon followed and they joined the other two horses at the fence, vying for the couples' attention. Laurel giggled as she introduced Jared to both of them before greeting Janie for the first time. Jared laughed when Janie blew warm air into their faces before trying to nibble on the woman's dark strands of hair.

    "She likes you," a guy's voice said, catching her attention and causing her to hop off the fence and go running.

    Jared watched as she attacked the long haired blonde man in a hug, both of them laughing. Hannah was a few steps behind them, accompanied by a beautiful brunette, whose hair was up in a messy bun. Once Ty and Laurel broke their hug, she pulled him the rest of the way to Jared.

    "Ty, this is my boyfriend Jared. Jared, this is my... Ty," she said with a smile.

    Both of them said hi, then he introduced them both to Lucy. After that, the five of them stayed outside and wandered around the property. Everyone shared stories about each other and discussed different shows - including Supernatural - and bonded. Laurel was overwhelmed with a sense of love and peace, surrounded by the people who meant the most to her; sans Misha, Jensen, Daneel, and JJ.
