The Earl's Daughter

Night I

In a graveyard somewhere in England

It was a cold, winter morning. A pair of girls, with auburn hair and silver eyes, are both crying as they sat next to a gravestone. Both looked to be about ten-years old.

All of a sudden, a corpulent man came floating down behind the grave carrying with him a pink umbrella. An inhuman grin was plastered on his face. He had molten gold eyes. His skin was the same shade of gray as ash.

"Konbanwa, girls," the man greeted the twins. "I'm the Millennium Earl. And I can bring your father back from that detestable god that took him away from the two of you."

"You – you could really bring him back?" Eunice asked. The twin's eyes widened with the hope that they could be with their dead foster father once more.

"Of course I can." And with a wave of the Earl's gloved hand a large, metal skeleton appeared beside the grave. "All you have to do is call his name."

"MANA?!" the twins shouted in unison.

Ellen's POV

I was about to run to Mana with my twin sister, Eunice, but stopped when my head throbbed again. The headache that I have was starting to get worse. I feel like my head was going to split open any minute. It has been going on for about 3 hours now. I didn't tell Eunice about it because I didn't want her to worry. I decided to ignore it once the pain had subsided a bit and began to run to Mana as well.

Mana raised his arms and struck the left side of my face while Eunice got struck on the right."EU...NIC...E... E...LLE...N... YOU TURNED ME INTO AN AKUMA. EUNICE?! ELLEN?! I CURSE THE BOTH OF YOU."

Suddenly a green glow came from my left hand. The same happened to Eunice but with her right hand. They transformed into huge claws. Our deformed arms seemed to have a mind of their own as they start dragging us towards Mana and attacked him.

"No. Please don't kill Mana," Eunice and I pleaded to our aberrant arms as it slashed our adoptive father into two.

"Thank you for destroying me. I love both of you," Mana stated as his body started turning to ashes before fading into nothingness. After that, Eunice suddenly fell unconscious. I shook her body as I tried waking her up.

The Earl's POV

'Exorcists hmmm. I should kill them before they become nuisances.'

As I moved closer, I noticed that the skin of the conscious one was slowly turning grey. Stigmata were also beginning to form underneath her bangs.

'She's a Noah. And an adorable one too. Quite peculiar. Normally Dark Matter and Innocence don't get along. Much less share the same accommodator. I'm going to adopt her and send an AKUMA to kill the other one.'

"What's your name, my dear?"

The girl stopped shaking his sister and looked up to face me. "Watashi wa Ellen, Earl-san."

"Well, Ellen, I'm going to adopt you. Is that okay?"

Her eyes widened in disbelief. "Would you really do that, Mr. Earl? What about my sister?"

"Of course I would. And none of that Mr. Earl, call me Otou-san from now on okay. Your name is now going to be Ellen Campbell. As for your sister, I will be...sending someone to take care of her."

"Arigato," Ellen said before promptly passing out. I immediately picked her up and made an ark gate appear. I entered carrying my new daughter.
