Night V

Ellen's POV

I was on my way to Otou-san's office when I saw Road eating candy in an armchair. I went closer in order to greet her.

"Road. You are back early from your mission. Did something happen?" I asked.

"Iie. The Earl just called me back. And I was starting to have fun when he did," Road pouted.

"Well, I should be on my way then. Ja-nee," I said. But before I left, I swiped some candy from her bag.

"Hey," Road stated indignantly.

"I'll let you have some of my candies later," I said as I looked over my shoulders.

Road pouted at that. "Fine."

I continued on my way to Otou-san's office. Once I reached my destination, I knocked on the door.

"Come in," His voice called from the other side.

I opened the door and entered. I sat on one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"You called for me, Otou-san."

"Ellen-chan, I have a special mission for you," Tou-san said despondently.

"What is it, Tou-san?" I asked enthusiastically before noticing the tone of his voice. I immediately lost all of my enthusiasm.

"You see, I need you to infiltrate the Black Order and gather info for us," Otou-san said.

When I heard what the mission, I felt dread. If I infiltrate The Black Order, I will have to fight against Otou-san, Tyki, and the rest of my family.

"Can't it be someone else, Tou-san?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't have a choice. If I could, I would send someone else," Otou-san said begrudgingly.

"So how do I get in, Otou-san?" I asked solemnly.

"Well...you still remember your twin sister, right?"

"Hai."

'How could I forget my twin sister? We were best friends back when we were kids. Before –'

"She is currently an exorcist in the Black Order. As of this moment, she is at the hospital. You're going to have a reunion with her."

"Hai, Otou-san," I answered glumly.

Though I really don't want to do this mission, a tiny part of me kind of missed my sister. Just slightly.

Otou-san got up from his chair, went around the desk, and hugged me.

"I'm going to miss you, Ellen-chan. Stay safe."

Ellen smiled sadly as she hugged back. "I'm going to miss you too, Otou-san."
