Third Person POV

Two young girls are panting as they leaned against the wall of a house. They have been running around the village for a considerable amount of time. The reason why is because the residents of the village were chasing after them. All of whom are carrying pitchforks.

The two heard the shout of the villagers from a nearby distance. This caused them to stop their brief break and continue to run. As the two continued running as much as their exhausted bodies let them, they entered an alley. It was littered with puddles due to the downpour that occurred the previous night. The two only stopped when they reached a dead end. They stared at the tall brick wall in horror, clinging tightly to each other. They tried to search for a way to escape, but there was none. As soon as the two heard the footsteps of the villagers nearing their location, they held onto each other's hands as they awaited their fate.

"Please - please don't hurt us. We didn't do anything wrong. We swear," the eldest of the two girls' voice cracked as she begged. Tears started pouring from her silver eyes.

"Did nothing they say," the leader of the group, who happens to be the mayor of the town, mocked as he punched the girl who spoke up. The villagers than proceeded to beat the two children.

"It's time"

Kick.

"for you to die"

Punch.

"worthless,"

Cut.

"pathetic,"

Stab.

"good for nothing"

Slice.

"demons."

The villagers then started to bind the hands and legs of the two girls. The two screamed as they were being dragged to the river.

"Ellen," a voice called out as everything started to become blurry.

"Ellen," the voice called once more.

Soon everything faded as Ellen suddenly woke up from her slumber. She gasped as she began to focus on her surroundings. She saw Tyki sitting by her side. A worried expression plastered on his face. A quick glance at the window showed that the sun hadn't risen yet.

"Are you alright, koi?" Tyki asked. His hand suddenly went near Ellen's eye and wiped something wet from her face. It only then did she realize that she was in fact crying.

Ellen hugged Tyki as she let the tears fall from her eyes. Although she doesn't have nightmares about her past every night, unlike when she first arrived, they still happen once in a while. She was grateful that her family always comforted her whenever she had them.

Meanwhile at the Order

Eunice was having a similar nightmare to the one Ellen just had. However, unlike Ellen, nobody is there to comfort her. No one, not even her boyfriend, is aware of the reoccurring night terrors that she experienced after all. Not like most of them would have helped if they knew anyway. Everyone besides Kanda, Kroy, Miranda Lenalee, Johnny, Reever, Komui, and Jerry have all been avoiding her, glaring at me, or doing both.

Sometimes Eunice wished that things were different. That Ellen wasn't a Noah. That....that she knew what it was like to have a family that loves her unconditionally. What it was like for people to care for her despite her being different.
