He was an old man, with a messy but short beard. His face showed signs of wisdom. And he wore a shirt and shorts, probably for decency to the new guests.

At first, he frowned. Then he narrowed his eyes at Kyle and wren, then he looked back at me. His expression turned into a kind one. Instead of the harsh, judging look before.

"Ah! Ahaha! Oh so I see you've brought a sacrifice!" He said.

"What?!" Wren exclaimed, pulling his hand away.

"Just kidding!" The chief joked. "Ah, I have not pulled that in twenty years!" He said, smiling at the both of them.

"So.... you know about...uh tiny people?" Kyle asked awkwardly.

"Yes young man, it is one of the reasons we practice ritual, but we have not done so in so long!!" The chief said, almost like an excited little kid. And that scared me.

"So you can help?" Wren asked.

"Yes! Yes! The whole tribe can help!" He said, then he looked at me. I pressed myself against Wrens palm as the chief kneeled down to get a better look at me once more.

"Not to worry little one. You are lucky to have come the year of the storm." He said, a kind smile beaming on his face. Then he stood up and called for another tribe member.

"Senaji!"

A small boy, around twelve or thirteen scurried into the building. Looking more then a little nervous, he looked scared of Wren and Kyle.

"Y-yes chief?" He asked timidly.

"We have a small guest that needs taking care of." The chief whispered to the boy.

At first the boy looked at Wren and Kyle, confused. Then he spotted me and nodded his head, as if suddenly unafraid and respectful. "Ok," he said, smiling at me. Then he turned to the chief once more and whispered, "How do I do that again?"

The chief chuckled and put his hand on the boys back, "You get her comfortable with a hut." He said, patting his back.

The boy rounded his lips to an O, then walked towards Wren. He reached for me, then thought better of it, and beckoned the two guys to follow him.

He stepped out into the jungle, Wren and Kyle following him. We passed many huts, and many people of the tribe, who didn't even seem to notice I was there.

Finally, we arrived at a hut. It looked kinda different from the others, more well-built. Like, it could stand if the wind blew right on it at 100mph.

We stepped into the hut.

"Este es el lugar para alojarse por ahora."

"Um, uh... could you repeat that in English?" Kyle asked.

"Oh, sorry. My English is not good." The boy said.

"It's fine." Wren said, coddling me to his chest.

"This is place to stay for while." The boy said, gesturing to the hut around them.

"Thank you." Kyle said.

"Gracias." Wren corrected.
