~Anya P.O.V~

I woke up with plenty of energy, having slept dreamlessly. I soon was reminded of my predicament when a searing pain shot up my leg. I let out a short cry. Would it ever end? Would I ever get out of here? Why did they want me anyway?! Whatever the answers to those questions I just hoped Yinlel would continue the quest for the Moonstones. I was useless to it anyway, Just dead weight. He was the "true magic blood" anyway.

I heard a door creek open and turned to see the short skinny man walk in grinning. "You're awake!" he said. I tried not to insult him loudly, not that it would have mattered. I was gagged again. He walked up to me and ran his finger along my face and smirked. "How is my pretty girl?" he asked grinning like a fool. If I could I would have bitten his finger. I wanted to demand to know why I was here but once again I was gagged.

Another man walked in looking exhausted. He was fatter and had short brown hair with green stuff all over in it. The green stuff was also all over his clothes and face. He looked angry. This must be Joey, the one looking after Yelix. "I began to shout questions about Yelix against the gag but it just came out as "MHHMM MEMISS MHHMUH?!" Joey looked at the other man. "Smash untie her!" He commanded. What kind of name was smash?! Smash looked like he wanted to argue but instead began untying me. Then he pulled me up roughly stetting me on my feet. Now standing I could feel the full extent of the pain. I was dizzy and weak. I was starving and felt like I was going to be sick, but none of that was anything compared to the agonizing pain in my leg. I screamed in pure pain and fell back down when my leg gave out. Smash ripped the gag off and lifted me back up "STAND!" He commanded. I tried but it hurt too much! I had no control over the injured leg. I fell again. Joey then came up and kicked me hard on my side. I could hear something crack and a stabbing pain in my ribs. I screamed again. "LEARN TO LISTEN, WENCH!" He yelled. Smash looked at him weirdly "Wench?" he asked dimly. Joey just rolled his eyes.

"Please stop, my leg ... I cannot stand!" I begged. Smash laughed, "She talks funny!" Joey hit him on the side of his head. "I don't care if your leg hurts you need to stand!" He commanded me kicking me again. I cried out in pain, "I CAN NOT!" I cried. He was about to kick me again before the last man walked in and stopped him, "Joey don't lose your temper!" He commanded him. Joey shrunk back a bit, "yes, sir," He said quietly. I looked up at him shyly, "why am I here? " I asked quietly. He didn't respond instead he left the room and came back with a crying Yelix and a bottle. "Feed it!" He commanded gruffly.

Yelix was not an "it"! I managed to pull myself into a sitting position and took Yelix in my arms weakly. I slowly fed him the bottle. He refused it at first. "Please Yelix, for me? " I pleaded. He still refused. I began to sing an old tribal lullaby and he relaxed and accepted the bottle. I smiled weakly. I wished there was a way to get Yelix out of here. At least they were feeding him.

Yelix finished the bottle and began to fall asleep. When Smash noticed him finish he snatched him out of my arms and left the room. Joey kicked me back down and retied me leaving off the gag. I winced when I hit the ground. My head was suddenly wet and I knew I was bleeding, again. I began to feel dizzy and my eyes fell closed.

I was standing alone in a field; it looked like the one outside my house. I smiled and walked over to the small creek Kicha, Yinlel, and I used to play in as kids. I dipped my bare feet in it and relaxed a bit. Someone sat down next to me and put their hand on mine. I looked up and smiled at Yinlel. "Are you ok? Are you seriously hurt?" he asked me? His face plastered with concern. I wasn't sure what he meant, it was peaceful here. He should see that I was perfectly fine. Suddenly I was all too aware of the pain all over. I looked down and saw my leg in a dirty bloody bandage and blood dripping off my head. "I am scared" I said weakly to him. He put his hand gently on my cheek. "What hurts?" he asked in an angelic voice. I frowned and replied; "everything, they haven't fed me, I am bloody and bruised but that isn't important!" he looked shocked. "NOT IMPORTANT?! Of course it is!" He yelled. I shook my head, "No what is important is finding the moonstones, and then come back for me and Yelix" I whispered weakly. He frowned and leaned in to kiss me. But then the dream ended.

~Yinlel P.O.V ~

I had been searching all over everywhere all day after my short rest, Anya's words had given me hope but it was slowly fading. I thought maybe I should try mind speaking to her again. It was almost as amazing hearing she actually had mind spoken as it was hearing the words she said. ALMOST. I sat down in a park on a wooden bench and looked out at the stars. They LOOKED like the same stars as the ones I saw a few days ago. The moon LOOKED like the same moon. If everything looked the same then why did things feel so ... wrong?

You know why.

Because of her

Yes because of her.

Because I failed and let her get hurt.

Yes you did fail

Gee thanks. You know for being me you aren't very helpful.

Just telling the truth. You know that sitting here pitying yourself won't help her.

I know but I don't know where to look or what to do.

Yes you do. Just find her. You know you can.

I was pathetic, talking to myself when I should be trying to talk to her! I concentrated and tried mind speaking to her. "Are you ok? Are you seriously hurt?" I asked. I waited a while, waiting for a response. "I am scared" she thought back in a beautiful but pained voice. SHE DID IT!! SHE COULD MIND SPEAK TO ME!! I didn't want her to be scared. I wanted to hold her in my arms and comfort her, to make the pain go away. "What hurts?" I asked concerned. "Everything, they haven't fed me, I am bloody and bruised but that isn't important!" she insisted. God she could be so stubborn. NOTHING was more important than her safety right now. "NOT IMPORTANT?! Of course it is!" I yelled. "No what is important is finding the moonstones, and then come back for me and Yelix" she whispered, in pain again. I wanted to take that pain from her. Of course she was more worried about the tribe that was so like her. I knew I could not leave her there. This was her quest from the beginning. Not mine. I would find her first then find the moonstones. I would find them WITH her or not at all.

I stood up again this time with more hope and began searching. It was like I was following some pull that lead me right to her. I'll be there soon Anya, I promise
