I help Chan get settled on the couch and make sure his bandages are secured before I head to bed. I go straight to the soft mattress screaming my name, not even bothering to change out of the clothes from karaoke. Mingyu is already laying down with the slightest smile on his face.

"How is he?"

"He's alright," I slide into bed after turning off the light, "I think he's still pretty traumatized though. But I think that you really helped him whenever you talked to him at the park."

Mingyu shuffles closer to me. "Do you really think so, Wonwoo?" He sounds uncertain and I shake my head in disbelief.

"Im 200% sure that whatever you said really stuck with him and everyone really appreciates it. They were afraid that they couldn't get through to him." I say sadly, the memory of everyone's dejected voices as Jeonghan explained what happened to Gyu and me. When Mingyu left, they told me how they were scared that he wouldn't talk to anyone about it. But thank god he did with Mingyu.

"We are going to take him to the hospital tomorrow, okay? Jisoo and Vernon are going to meet us for lunch afterwards. Hopefully Chan will be okay." I inform him and close my eyes.

"Hopefully."

I wake up to Mingyu pulling the covers off of me, like he always does when I won't get up. It's Saturday, why can't I sleep in? I shuffle out of bed and head into the kitchen to see Chan, Junhui, Minghao, and Mingyu all cooking breakfast. The kitchen is a mess, flour and utensils everywhere.

"What are you guys doing here?" I ask, grabbing a piece of bacon and stuffing it in my mouth before Mingyu can gripe at me.

"We decided to come eat breakfast with you guys! We invited Soonyoung but he's going somewhere with his family today." Minghao explains, flipping a pancake. Junhui pours orange juice into five cups then starts to set the table, all while admiring Minghao slyly.

Junhui and Minghao's relationship is complicated. Everyone, including them, knows that they are absolutely infatuated with each other. They make it super obvious but still, neither has chose to confess or even address their feelings. It's quite frustrating because everyone knows they would be the cutest couple to ever exist yet they still choose to only be friends. I've talked to Junhui and Minghao about it a few times but I couldn't get through to them. They said that I shouldn't be the one to talk and that I was a hypocrite but that made no sense. I asked them what they meant and they only sighed and rolled their eyes as if they couldn't believe that I didn't know what they were talking about. It still irks me that they won't tell me. But even so, I carry on and pretend like it doesn't bother me.

I sigh and rest my chin on Mingyu's shoulder as he fries more bacon.

"Do you need something?" He asks jokingly, moving his shoulder up so my chin would move. I huff and move over to Chan and ask him about his bandages, his answers being a lighthearted, "Everything is okay, thank you," with a smile that could warm anyone's heart. I smile back and help Junhui finish setting the table. After everything is cooked, we all gather around the table and eat the delicious breakfast.

"Thank you for the wonderful meal guys. But next time, a little warning would be nice." I say, looking at the two culprits who only smile back smugly. "Also, I wish we could sit and talk longer but we need to take Chan to the hospital at noon. We will clean up but thank you for the very nice breakfast." I feel the warmhearted smile spread across my face as I speak.

"It was no problem. I hope everything goes okay, Chan. Tell me how everything goes once you're done." Junhui says and smiles, rubbing Chan's shoulder before walking out of my home with Minghao.

After we finish cleaning the kitchen, we all get ready. Mingyu lets Chan borrow some of his clothes, them being oversized and swallowing him up. After that, we set a date so we could go gather his things when his parents aren't home. Then we walk to the café where my mother awaits with her car so we can borrow it.

"Please drive safe, Wonwoo. You have some precious cargo with you," she smiles and winks at Mingyu and Chan, "I do hope you're alright though, Dino. I don't want anything happening to someone so adorable as you." My mother refers to Chan's nickname that Seungchoul gave him that stuck with him. As you can tell, my friends and my mom are very close.

"Of course, mother. I always do. Thank you for letting me borrow it, I love you. See you when we get back." I kiss her cheek and get in the driver's seat, waving bye as I back out of the parking lot. Her last words replay in my head, making me start to worry as I think of all the possibilities that could happen.

Chan is not only hurt physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Even after all his cuts and bruises heal, there will still be the mental damage. Mingyu is still dealing with it and it's been months. I just hope that Chan will be okay, that his happiness and innocence won't be stripped away from him. That he can feel normal again. God, I hope.
