~ Dylan's POV
I had to shut down. Our energy runs longer than humans so it takes longer to recharge. Back at the front of the tunnel I didn't recharge much. I was exhausted and I couldn't risk being discovered. Though, it looks like my plan didn't work out too well. I'm shut down, however I can still hear things going on around me. Not every alien can hear when they're shut down but because I'm an "original" as Fiona calls us, I can.
"Oh my! Holy .." I can hear the figure pacing back and forth across the floor.
After, awhile the pacing stops and the
footsteps get farther away. Being fully charged; I finally get out of my charging stance and head to the part of the tunnel where the others are. Just as I arrive Hayden and Madison are going further in the tunnel."Heler, where are they going?" I ask pointing towards the overly hyper duo.
She looks at me. Looking me up and down as if she's checking something. I try my best not to seem anxious, so I just smile. Hoping that she can't tell it's fake.
"They're going to meet us there. It's not too far from here. Besides I have to talk to you." she said emphasizes the word you. Looking over at her she pulls out an envelope out of her bag; putting her bag on her back. She hands me the envelope.
"What's this?" curiously taking the letter out of it.
"Well, it's a letter from my parents. If you read it, in it they warn me about Fiona. Saying I'm important to stopping her."
"Hmm."
Looking over the letter, I'm quite surprised how little her parents explained to her. It seems they have given us the more complex, fragile subjects to explain to her. I look over at a very confused Heler. It has been years since I've seen her and she almost looks the same. I've gotten so used to the human lifestyle that it seems like she have become a woman already. She's only in her twenties but she exactly the same. As a child she was always so curious about things that she couldn't understand. She focused on whatever it was until she figured out how it worked or what it did.
Very curious child. Smiling softly remembering small, vulnerable Heler.
"Hellooooo. Dylan, are you even listening to me?" waving her hands in my face.
I quickly get rid of the smile on my face.
"What are you?" Heler asks standing in front of me with her hand crossed over her chest.
I blink heavily, shocked by what she said. I open my mouth to say something; trying to figure out what to say. Do I deny her accusations or tell the truth?
Is it time for that yet. I think it's time, we don't have much longer before her big transformation.
"Let's start walking through the tunnel. I'll explain everything about me that you want to know." I say walking away for her before she could say anything. Heler runs behind him catching up.
"I'm guessing you're the one who saw me charging my energy?" Heler nods her head.
"Well, shall we get started?" Where do I start?" I've lived for so long, it's hard to remember exactly everything that has happened.
"Like your parents stated Katzaria hasn't been around for that long. I'm one of the few who were the first aliens on this planet. Fiona called us the originals. There's four of us; however, I'm the only one who ever interacted with other aliens. When we found Fiona it was like a divine lord sent her to us. She came with a plan to make our planet thrive, so in return we declared her leader. However, she only came fifty years ago. She took care us and we took care of her. Although, Fiona and I grew very fond of each other." shaking my head gently and laughing.
