~ Everyone's POV
*warning: this chapter will be much longer than most chapters. This is more good news than bad. However, in the future I might split them into to separate chapters. Until then, enjoy this very long chapter.~~ Madison's POV
With Fiona locked up and everyone is pretty much free of stress; we all head to center point. Since the timer went off at twelve in the morning and it's only two; it's pretty early. However, everyone is buzzing with energy. There I saw families get back together that were separated. There I watched long lost friends that had bad history put all that behind for the sake of love. There I saw children reunited with parents. There I saw prisoners and police chatting as if that once tense connection never existed. I even witnessed people of different countries that currently are supposed to be in war talking a storm of generous compliments in a positive nature.
Fiona might have been right that humans can be the most evil creatures in existence. However, tragedy like this always shows what's behind those walls us humans always put up. Seeing this happening makes me think crashing here wasn't a mistake at all. This could lead humans into a very good place if they choose to accept it. Humans can be stubborn.
I walk through the big, huge crowd of people. Leading my sister to a more private area where she can heal. I find a empty room that has a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Placing her on the bed; I look around the room. Walk-in closet!
Nice.
Heading back over to the bed.
"Faith, get some rest and I'll be back to get you some food. You need to heal. Since it was only electricity. It didn't do much damage to you on the outside, but we're going to get you checked to make it didn't damage any of your vital organs." I whisper to my sister while she's half asleep.
"Yeah, mmhm." Faith mutters waving me off.
I couldn't be happier to see my sister. She's been quiet. I don't know what happened to her when she was missing, but I'll find out eventually. For now, I'll just take care of her as her sister. I quietly shut the door behind me and make my through the noisy crowd. Someone smashes into me.
"Wooooah!" I shout.
"Oh! Madison, I am so sorry." she look up to see a distressed Dylan.
"Dylan! I wanted to thank you for everything. Oh, and apology accepted." I say beaming my smile towards him.
He ignores what I said and just continues looking around the room. I punch him in the shoulder.
"Ow!" His head snaps towards me.
"What's wrong, Dylan." I say; my voice softening.
He sighs and shakes his head.
"Nothing is wrong. Have you seen Heler? I can't seem to find her." He says scanning the room.
"She's back in the office. She never left." I say rolling my eyes.
"Thanks!" Dylan says.
He winks at me and walk away. Leaving me once again in a sea of people I don't know. It's funny, I don't know these people. They didn't know me, yet I dedicated my life in the government saving their lives on a daily.
I'm such a good person! Proud me!!
I found a few old peers I used to go to school with. I even made a few new friends. A lot of people wanted to meet me. Since I'm considered one of the alien/human heroes. I feel like a celebrity. I walk around greeting as much people I can until I spot Hayden. I haven't seen him every since yesterday when I got kidnapped. I speed up my pace and head in his direction. I almost reach him, but I see him with a girl. She's laughing into his neck and he's has these sparks in his eyes. For moment I just watch the two of them. We haven't known each other for long, but he's the closet I have gotten to since a very long time. People like me who don't open up often. Who don't open up at all. Something like this would just dig us deeper in the hole we were already in. My heart crushing and falling over the face of this planet. Just like it has many times on Earth. After their laughter dies down Hayden with a big smile still on his face; catches me staring. I quickly go in the opposite direction disappearing in the crowd of people.
