~ Hayden's POV

My mind still trying to wrap around seeing my dead wife and daughter. At their funeral all of their family and mine was there. We couldn't do an open casket because their bodies were never found. I never really believed they were dead, but it was more for closure. For everyone. That's when I became more dedicated to my job; constantly working late nights. To keep my mind from wondering to a dark place; a place where I worked so hard to get away from. Though, here they are looking more like one of those creatures than a human. The other day when we're running out the building I thought I saw a woman look severely similar to my wife. I brushed it off. Thinking it's just the stress and it's making me hallucinate. However, with everything I've learned. I know for a fact this is real. I found my family!

I quickly scramble to the floor as Carolyn's body drops to the floor from the sound of the blaring alarm. I drop to my knees and lay her head in my arms, while resting her back on my thighs. I gently caress her head. Hoping she's okay. I feel stares on the scene I'm making, but I'm too in the moment to care. I look over at my daughter who's closer to Heler and Dylan. The color from her skin slowly fading into her normal fair skin. I catch Heler mouthing something to Dylan. He just shrugs his shoulders. I know they're wondering what's going on. I'm in just as much shock as they are. I never thought this day would come, but it did!

The room is filled with silence as the alarm stops. It looks like Fiona sent about eighty of her guards total. Forty that came through the tunnel and another forty that came through the main door. She must have been really worried about us wandering around ourselves. The silence breaks as people start getting up. I look down at my wife. She groans in pain but as soon as she settles down. Her eyes flutter open and they meet mine.

"Hayden?! Is that really you?" Carolyn whispers.

All I can do is nod my head. The sound of her voice is the thing that ensures me that this is really happening. She quickly sits up and wraps her arms around my neck in a tight hug. Surprised by the sudden contact; I freeze. Soon enough I relax and wrap my arms around her. Squeezing my eyes shut trying to keep the tears from escaping my eyes.

"Dad." Sabrina says already a face full of tears.

I release from the hug and quickly run over to my daughter, and pick her up in a hug. Spinning her circles to make the moment feel infinite. I have never felt this much happiness; to finally be reunited with my girls after so many years. Before I can even refuse; a tear roll down my cheek. I place Sabrina down next to her mother. And we just stare at each other for a good while. Just hoping it isn't a cruel dream.

"Well, that took a unexpected turn! Right, Dylan." Heler says loudly, elbowing Dylan in his side.

Dylan's chuckles at the gesture and sighs as a result. Everyone back in their human forms; it makes me feel more at home. All the confused humans distance themselves from the two musketeers that stick out like a sore thumb.

"What are they?" someone shouts out.

"Not wanting to ruin the happy reunion, but we have work to do." Dante yells in frustration.

The once calm and free aura immediately replaced with confusion and anger.

"You!" Carolyn points at Dylan's brother and storms up to him.

Dylan and Heler have to stand in front of her to stop her from getting any closer to him.

"It's your fault why we are here! You took us away from our family. We were we happy! ---Carolyn screams.

"We were just getting back to a normal life." Carolyn sighs.

"Carolyn, it's okay." I say trying to calm her down.
