Jax's pov
It's starting to get weird how seemingly wrong everything tends to go in this house. Link and Josh were in so much pain. Im not even kidding. Link and Josh aren't even speaking at the moment. It felt just like it did when Brendon died. Nobody seemed decently happy. Everyone was sad, especially Link and Josh. Josh hasnt been to the house in like a week, and today he showed up. I asked him how he was feeling but he just went upstairs. Okay then. It didnt bother me so I just sat on the couch and put on some child cartoon. About 5 minutes later I heard loud footsteps upstairs. Link and Josh came down the stairs yelling.
"What are you talking about?" I heard Josh yell. By now the were completely down the stairs in the living room.
"Its your fault! If you would have actually been at the house-"
"My fault? You're the mother!" He screamed. Link looked hurt.
"You are the worst human being I've ever met. You're awful! Just leave then if you are going to just argue!" Link yelled. They hadnt even notice I was here until Josh turned around. They looked at me with their eyes really big.
"Did you hear this?" Josh said.
"Oh my gosh you're dumb. Of course she heard us, she's in the room!" Link said. Josh glared at her and grabbed his keys.
"See ya Jax." He said as he left. Link sunk down in the couch and cried.
"Link? You okay?" I said, knowing she probably wasnt okay. She just shook her head. I didnt say anything because I knew her losing the baby was probably one of the toughest things she's been through.
"Is there anything I can do?" I asked. She looked at me.
"You could call Preston." She said. I almost fell out of my seat but I nodded.
"Yeah I'll call him." I told her. She quietly thanked me while I dialed his number. He picked up after about three rings. When he picked up, I explained the situation and asked him to come over. He said yes without hesitation. He hung up and I told Link about my conversation. She seemed to cheer up a bit and ran off to her room.
"Thank you Jax." She said leaving. I smiled and continued watching tv. Suddenly, Pete came in with the mail.
"Jax, this is for you." He said handing me an envelope. I hesitated to take it because I never get mail, like ever. The address on the envelope read 'Greenland.' I opened it and sure enough, it was a letter from Elton. All the letter read was his sympathies for Link and Josh. The letter also read that he has big news for me. That makes sense why he told me to tell them he's sorry. I put the letter back in the envelope and pulled out my phone. I found the name that read "Elton" and hit call. It rang a few times until he answered.
"Jax? Why hello!" He exclaimed.
"Hi Elton."
"You got my letter?"
"Yeah. You know you could have just called." I chuckled. He paused.
"Well...I guess I could have...wow I feel a bit dumb." I laughed.
"It's okay. What was the big news you have to tell me?"
"Well, Christmas time is coming up, and I wanted to give you an early Christmas gift." He said.
"Uh, alright? This seems a bit sketchy."
"I need you to pick your present up by 4 o'clock." I stood bewildered.
"Where?" I asked. He paused.
"The Ryro bridge."
