Butlers, Izaya Orihara

Shizuo's POV

I'm walking around with Varona, getting introduced to everyone and it's going well, but I'm pretty sure some of the men that wanted to marry Varona want to kill me.

While walking around I spot Izaya's father and mother talking to some people. They look like they are having a good time, but since I heard the true reason why they're here, I know that they just want to see how much competition they'll have.

After I finish meeting this one couple form Tokyo, Varona pulls me over to the Orihara family. I stand in front Izaya's father and look at him awkwardly until Varona starts talking.

"Mr. and Mrs. Orihara it is a pleasure to see you again, this is Shizuo Heiwajima." Varona says happily.

"Ah, of course. It is a pleasure to meet you Mr. Heiwajima." Izaya's father says kindly and holds out his hand.

I shake his hand with a smile on my face and think he's a lot nicer than when I first met him, but it's to be expected from the head of the fourth richest family in Japan. But I know we're not going to be on good terms.

After having a small conversation with them, Varona and I went to the other families. A few of them were really interested of how Varona and I started having feelings for each other, but it was mostly Varona talking about that.

But there was one family that gave off a really bad vibe, the Yodogiri family. I don't know why but they seemed like someone was telling them exactly what to do. I think that there's someone who is in charge and it's not the man I met, Jinnai Yodogiri. Though I really shouldn't be focused on that.

It's starting to get really late. I'm going to assume it's almost midnight and a few people have already left.

I turn to Varona and say, "I have to go do something now, so I will see you tomorrow."

"Okay, and also my father will explain what you will be doing in his office at eight in the morning."

I nod then bow to her and walk away to find the Orihara twins before they leave. I know they still must be here since their parents are still walking around.

After awhile, I finally find the two at the entrance of the garden. They notice I spotted them and started coming toward me.

"So what about Izaya?" I ask them.

"First can we go somewhere more private?" Mairu asks.

I nod and direct them to one of the guest rooms that haven't been used for a long while. Kururi closes the door then goes over to her sister on the bed while I sit on a chair across from them.

"So, Iza-nii for some reason, always after he had a talk with father, seemed really depressed." Mairu explains.

"He even tried to commit suicide once and the evidence is on his left wrist." Kururi added.

"What?!" I say shocked, "I always thought he would be the kind of person that would never even think of that as an option."

"Yeah, we thought so too, we always tried to get Iza-nii to tell us from time to time. It never worked though and father kept on saying things that hurt Iza-nii emotionally."

"Why would your father do such a thing?" I ask, now I'm worrying about Izaya even more.

"We don't know, but a few times we listened to conversations between both of them and after father said what he wanted to, if Iza-nii even rose his voice a little bit father would whisper something in his ear and Iza-nii would get quite and depressed." Mairu explains in the most serious tone I've ever heard from anyone.

"So, I have a question for you two."

"What is it?" Kururi asks.

"Why did you want to tell me all of this?"

They sit on the bed quietly looking at each other then Mairu turns to me and says, "We felt like we could trust you. It seemed to us that you and Iza-nii has some special relationship."

"Well you are right about that, our relationship is interesting, but should you really be telling a stranger the deepest things about your brother?" I ask.

"Yes. We talked it over and thought you would be able to take care of Iza-nii." Mairu explains.

I really don't know how to respond to that so I say, "Well it looks like you two need to leave it's getting late." then I get up from my seat and start leaving.

Mairu and Kururi follow and go to the ballroom while I stand at the guest room to lock it. Before they're out of sight they both turn around and Mairu says, "Please take care of Iza-nii for us."

"I will." I answer back and watch them leave.

After I lock the door completely I turn to the clinic, I need to see how he's doing.

When I get to the clinic doors and see Celty standing there. She comes up to me and gives me a note.

"It's from Shinra." I read from her PDA.

I nod and open up the note, reading:
'Shizuo I know you really want to see how Izaya is, but it would be best if you didn't come till sometime tomorrow evening.'

I pocket the note and ask Celty,"So since I can't see Izaya, can you tell me how he's doing?"

"Sorry Shizuo, but I can't tell you. I don't even know myself."

"It's okay, I'll see you tomorrow." I say then turn around and go check how everything is going in the ballroom, I still have my job to keep up.

But I need to know something, who is Izaya Orihara of the fourth richest family in Japan, and why would he want to hide it?
