Izaya's POV

I wake up with Shizu-chan beside me and with a silver engagement ring on my left hand.

I slowly get out of bed to get ready for breakfast and once I come back from the bathroom Shizu-chan is slowly starting to wake up.

I go over to him and kiss him on the forehead and say, "Good morning, Shizu-chan."

"Good morning, Izaya... what time is it?" He asks sleepily.

"7:23, but we have to be downstairs for breakfast at 7:45. So get up." I answer.

"Why?"

"Don't know, my dad says there are some important guests here."

"Really? Man, this is a pain." Shizu-chan says under his breath and gets up.

He goes to put on some decent clothes and tries to fix his messy hair. While I wait I think of who could be here.

When Shizu-chan is done getting ready we both go downstairs hand in hand. One of the butlers open the dining room door for us and I'm shocked of who I see sitting at the table.

I'm guessing Shizu-chan is as well since we're both standing together shocked. Dota-chin, Saburo, Erika, and Walker are all at the table talking and laughing with my family.

"Hey." Dota-chin says getting our attention.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" I ask.

"Reasons that we're not going to go through." Erika says.

"We're actually thinking of working here." Dota-chin says.

"Really?! But what about-"

"They're right now in deep trouble and will most likely have most of the staff fired." Dota-chin explains and cuts me off.

"How?" Shizu-chan asks.

"Shinra contacted earlier and said how over staffed that place is, they can't give everyone the right payments. Even we're under paid, so the government may make them fire a lot of people." Dota-chin explains and comes toward us.

"So the ball that was held was so that Varona could find a wealthy man." I say quietly.

"Yeah pretty much... after this can I just talk to you two?" Dota-chin says to us quietly.

"Sure." Shizu-chan says answering for both of us. Then we all sit at the table and start eating and having fun talking about random things.

Once we're done eating Shizu-chan and I follow Dota-chin, well Chikage, to one of the specialty made private rooms.

When we're all in the room Chikage closes the door then waits outside and Dota-chin says, "So when Shinra called there was something else he said to me..."

"What?" I ask.

"Varona let the people that tried to kill you in the mansion. She was the one who planned the shooting."

"What? Come on Kadota, you're joking." Shizu-chan says in disbelief.

"I wish I was... so we're just going to try to work here and I've talked to your father about adding a few others."

"So Shinra is coming to?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"Well I mean it's better than nothing... I guess."
