We arrived in Italy
“Yancy, how about my work and my house?” I asked.
“You’re resigned at the pet store and your house is handled.” He said
“Wow!” I said
“Don’t worry, you’ll be paid here.” He said
“Yancy, this is not about the money – it’s about you not telling me about every decision that you make for me.” I said.
Then I picked my duffel bag and walked to the exit. He was following me and I stopped because I don’t know where to go.
“Alright, I’m sorry.” He said
Then we rode a cab to the hotel and checked in.
“How long are we staying here?” I asked him.
“A month.” He said
“A month?” I said as was shocked – thought of about a week or something.
“We’re doing covert operations in here.” He said
I am developing something for Yancy but I don’t want to be a fool out of it so I need to contain it.
We arrived in our room and there were 2 beds, dining area and 2 bathrooms.
I was bummed at it but what can I do. It’s just a fake marriage that I just entered myself into.
I chose my room near the door and he objected.
“No – that’s my room” he said. So I gave it to him and moved to the other room.
I don’t want to argue so I just sometimes let him do that. Then he went to my room and said “were going out in an hour.”
Then I prepared myself and I look at my bed then there were guns.
“Aaah Yancy” I said.
Then he came to me and said “What?” and saw the guns and he took it 1 by 1.
“These are automatic and dangerous.” He said
So I didn’t touch any of it.
“Okay – were good, prepare.” He said
I prepared up and almost ready when I went to his room to get my messenger bag. He was in his boxer’s and smiled – the first ever smile that I saw.
“Babe, knock – there’s a thing called knocking.” He said as I covered my eyes when he said that.
“I need my bag” I said and then he took it and gave it to me with a whisper “You look gorgeous”
“Thank You – you too.” Why did I even say that?
Again I’m waiting for Yancy to call me before I get out. Then he was coming and I waited for him.
“Were ready to go.” He said then I stood up and we went outside get in the car and he was preparing a gun as I drove.
“Yancy?” I asked him.
“Go inside the forest and lower your lights.” He said.
As I went deeper and deeper. A big house was in there.
He was looking through his sniper scope and I’m just looking at the binoculars.
“Who are we spying?” I asked
“That man- he knows where Rupert is. That’s his brother too.” He said
“This is what you do all the time?” I asked
“Yes” he answered
“Why not I seduce her and be done with it?” I suggested.
“Yeah and if they checked your background that you married to me and parents are agent. I really think you’d seduce him to grave you alive.” He said
“Yeah, let’s just stick to this.” I said as I got scared to what he said
“Nice thinking – It’s late, you could sleep.” He said
“How many women did you marry?” I asked
“8” he said
“Ouch.” I said
“It’s part of my job” he said
What am I thinking? That this marriage is forever? That I’d be happy wife? No, I’m nobody and he will never be into me. I just force myself to him so I pay the consequence. I’m just part of his job. Sky, comprehend yourself and go home.
“So let me clear things – this is fake marriage is for us to fit in here?” he said
“That’s what is it really for. Since you decided to stick with me.” He said
That hurts!
“I understand” I said and went to the car and slept.
