Chapter 22
The plan hasn’t started when we were startled by Irina’s team.
“Peck run for back-up now!” Yancy shouted.
I ran and grabbed a weapon that I could grab and started shooting at them.
“Sky – to the windows now!” he ordered
“Yancy were on the 31st floor.” I shouted.
“I need you to run out now!” he said pointing at the exit door.
“No Yancy” I said
“Sky I can’t lose you again” he said
“You won’t let’s get out of here” I said pulling him and ran to the emergency exit.
I was shooting at the men that are tailing us and Yancy in front of us.
“I’m low Yancy” I said looking at the magazine
“Come – on let’s run fast” he said
And I am jumping through the stairs.
Then a whole block of Russian were waiting us. Then Yancy and I held the gun up waving for surrender.
Then we knelt and our heads were covered and I was tied. I couldn’t see anything.
I knew I was put inside a van separated from Yancy. And this time I’m hoping that they would spare our lives.
The agency couldn’t even help us at this point. And we were air lifted and I know the coldness – I know we were at Russia.
I kept silent all the time. Hoping that praying works this time. I am scared – I am terrified to what could happen.
I was pushed to a cell. Smells rotten and I am to vomit. When I uncovered the sack on my head I screamed with all the decaying dead bodies around me. I couldn’t take it this is more than anything scary that I had.
This is worse. I couldn’t breathe well I am suffocating with all the smell. I am breathing through my clothes I am crying and sweaty and I couldn’t compose myself. I am going crazy.
I sat in the corner like a whimpering puppy. Then the metal door opened and I saw Yancy being thrown at the opposite cell.
He removed the cloth on his hand and saw me and whispered “Yancy”
Then he removed the sack on his head and looked at me “Sky” he said
“Yancy what happens now?” I asked him.
“I will get us out of here Sky – don’t cry please babe please.” He pleaded
But I couldn’t stop and Yancy punched the wall.
Then he said “Sky I’m sorry I put you to this.”
“It’s okay Yancy – I’m with you – remember when you said that anything could go dangerous – but I still forced myself in – this is it.” I said trying to be optimistic.
He was silent and I whispered “I love you”
He looked at me and said “I swear to God that if they hurt you – I’ll reap them off”
Then the metal door opened. And I heard heels coming to me.
“You really are Chris’ daughter” she said. I concluded it was Irina
“Irina – what are you doing?”Yancy asked.
“You left me then betrayed me - I lost almost all of my business” she said
“What? – I don’t understand” Yancy said
“You told the agency my connections – my network, my links and they wiped everything of me. What kind of son are you? – just like your father – your shit of a father.” Irina said
“I’ll do anything – just let her go mom” Yancy said
“No Yancy no!” I screamed then she looked at me then I stepped back.
YANCY’S POV
Irina got us and Sky is in danger. I have to make a deal – I need to lure her away from Sky.
Irina knows Sky is Chris’ daughter – making things more complicated.
“Well honey if you insist that I let her go – you have to make an offer.” She said
“Tell me and I’ll do it.” She said
Then Irina was laughing walking out the door.
“Yancy what are you doing?” Sky asked
“I’m trying to get you out of here.” I said
“We could work things out Yancy” she said
“Irina is crazy and will kill you – remember that she hates your father” I said
Then the night passed and the door opened again a soldier came and gave us food. And he said “I’m Polo’s men and I’m here to help” then he left
I searched my food and saw a piece of paper. A small blueprint for diversions.
After memorizing everything I ate the paper.
The night passed and waiting for a signal then I heard a chopper.
“Sky – where is your necklace?” I asked her
“It’s on me” she said
“Throw it to me” I said and she threw it
“What are you doing?” she asked me
“Someone helped us Sky.” I answered
Then I searched for anything on the corpse and a belt helped me opened my cell. Then I opened Sky’s cell knocked the door and knocked the guard.
Then we heard an explosion.
“It started Peck and your team is waiting for you” Polo’s men said as he came
“Thank you” Sky said
