Chapter 18

                “James, where’s Yancy?” I asked him as I stormed to his office.

                “I’m sorry Sky but he cut his comm lines.” He answered.

                “You’re CIA! You could get me something.” I told him.

                Peck was with me and trying to calm me.

                “Peck, God damn it! It’s been a week and he hasn’t come back – do you want me to calm down?” I shouted at him.

                “Sky – Yancy could take care of his self.” He said

                “Peck start talking” I told him

                “I really want to tell you where he is but he didn’t tell me where.” He said

                “Sky – give him more time” Peck said

                “No – I know him Peck – he could go sane when his mad.” I said

                And I sat down.

                “Why? – Why is he doing this to me Peck? – why can’t we just tell me what’s wrong?” I said sounded soft.

                “Sky – I know you love him but you just have to trust him.” Peck said

                “Come on – just come with me on my mission so you could forget just a little.” Peck said and I nodded

                “Get pack and ready were going to Brazil.” He said

                He drove me to the hotel and packed a little then Peck was fixing our documents.

                “Were ready to roll.” He said and went to the airport.

                We arrived at Brazil. I always wanted to be in Brazil.

                Then Brazil Intelligence Branch took us and delivered us to our hotel – nest as they call it.

                “That’s our target Thiago” Peck said.

                “We are to extract him?” I asked Peck.

                “Yes” he answered

                “We go watch him at dawn” Peck added then fixed the weapons

                “Peck could you please do me a favor?” I asked him

                “What?” he said

                “You tell me when the agency has news of Yancy.” I said

                “No problem Sky” he said

                Dawn came and Brazil is hot and we were surveying the area. “This is a clean shot” Peck said

                “This people are heat seekers – trigger happy – when they see something suspicious they’ll shoot.” He said

                Why I look at guards who just shot a 3 people.

                “Control your screams Sky” Peck warned.

                “Sorry – this people are heartless.” I told him

                “Yeah – okay let’s scooch.” He said

                “Let’s go in the morning. Let’s meet with the team.” Peck said while he drove.

                We met with the ‘Policia Militar’ and Federal Polices and Peck gave the plan and orders. We go by the planets.

                “Extract Thiago, get his files and the mission is done.” Peck said

                “Sky – you are Jupiter – you’ll have a small team to recover the files from his house.” Peck told me and same with the others.

                And everyone left.

                “Peck – Jupiter is not a planet anymore.” I said

                He chuckled and said “You’ll learn.”

                I went to my bed and was thinking of Yancy. I am getting mad at what his doing. Okay, he got rid of me. Is he happy now? I want to be with him.

                Morning came and everything is ready.

                “This is you plan Mars? – crash the gate with armored cars?” I shouted as he was driving fast ready to bump anything that goes his way.

                “Mars, were in position.” I radioed him.

                Bullets were at different direction – firing at the armored cars.

                “Jupiter recover now!” Peck ordered.

                I was at the room of Thiago. Grabbing his hard drives, any folder that I could see, boxes with papers and my team gathered everything.

                “Mars – we gathered the files.” I radioed him. But Peck wasn’t answering I let my team go ahead and search for Peck then he was running and grabbed my hand then run out.

                “I thought the plan was to kill Thiago not the other way around.” I shouted at him. While we hid behind the sacks.

                “Well if you want to get shot by a SMAW – I told you this is heat seekers – trigger happy.” Peck said while a rocket got released and exploded at the car.

                “Now I’m really worried.” I told Peck.

                I grabbed his 2 smoke grenades and told Peck “That’s how we deal with heat seekers chaps, we go cold.”

                Then Peck stood up and started shooting.

                “Get out of the way team, I’m sending in tic-tacs” he said then I followed his back and Peck arrived at Thiago’s living room which he confronted face to face.

                Then Thiago grabbed his gun and Peck shot him in the head and Thiago fell down and we both ran to the extraction point.

                He tapped my shoulder and said “Nice smoke bombing Sky” I nodded gasping for air.

                He now is mocking me saying “We go cold”

                “Shut up Peck – I just saved your life.” I told him.

                “We go cold” he said again and heard him mumble “I like that – we go cold” then I walk pass through him and got into the Federal agency of Brazil to check the recovered files.

                “Sky – I think they don’t need us anymore – were good to go.” Peck said then we went back to the hotel and packed up.

                “Germany, here we come.” I said as I closed the door of our room in the hotel.
