Aaaah why was I not expecting this? I had to see him some time or the other.
He was in my grade after all.
He. Erik. Erik Night.
He looked at me with a glint in his eyes. Trying to figure out what I was thinking but looked like he wasn't being able to do it.
I mentally high fived myself and put a sly smile, rolled my eyes at him and moved ahead.
I felt many eyes towards my retreating figure but honestly I couldn't care less about it at the moment.
I knew I'll have to face Erik at some point of time but right now I got better things to do than to study the characteristics and behaviour of new species of douche-bags evolving these days.

It was lunch time now. Thankfully I had Nell in my chemistry and not-so-thankfully Jade in maths. That girl was like a freaking bullet train. It felt like she mentally sang can't stop won't stop while doing maths. Never mind. Then I had art in which there were a few people I knew already.
As I headed towards the cafeteria I placed all the stuff that was not required back in my locker. My locker was placed just perfectly in the middle and I was glad about it.
I didn't have a hard time spotting my group thanks to Kyle.
We all had our lunch boxes today since it was the first day and also the food was supposed to be good. That was an assumption.
Thankfully we did have good food. Now our table had pasta, spaghetti, cheese toast, potato chips, walnut brownies and HOLY SHIT MY CHOCOLATES!?!? MY CHOCOLATES.
"What the fuck are my chocolates doing here and who the fuck got them from my locker and from where the fuck did you get to know my code?", I ask. Or more like shout. Okay fine understatements but what the hell nobody touches my chocolates.
YOU JUST DON'T.All of them just smiled at me. Like just smiled. First you take my chocolates like that and then you have the audacity to smile at me?!
Like I'm really gonna do anything about them... I adore these idiots.
I count the chocolates in front of me and there are only 5 that means they took the ones in the smaller box. That means my real stash is well hidden.
I mentally high five myself for the second time. I feel so good.We start discussing about our classes as we go on eating our food.
It wasn't even five minutes when Evan came to join us. I introduced him to my friends and he seemed to mingle with them pretty well.We talked of the most random things and kept on jumping from one topic to another. It was some sense of belongingness that Evan had and how well he had mingled up with all of us with so much ease.
Everybody seemed to like him but I could sense an uprising right there.
You know that kind of feeling when you realise that a friend of yours smiles a lot at a person and that intuition which is practically always right. She likes him.Ahahahahahahah Ayla darling you're so totally spilling them beans tonight...
I looked at her but she won't meet my eyes. Aw I so knew it. It was obvious and I could see Jade and Nell smirking in her direction too. I looked at the boys, nothing at all. Well they are boys.
Why did I even expect anything of them at the first place?!*sighs*
Lunch got over with us saying buhbyeees to each other and voila I could see Ayla and Evan going in the same direction and their lockers were not a tad bit close to each others.
They would be cute together. But damn it will be weird. Alright. I'll keep my thoughts aside and focus on what class I have next.Woohoo! Lab class! Chemistry lab whoa! Gosh I'm so glad finally a nice period and then no more classes.
Happy Ending I think and roll my eyes at my own thoughts."While rolling you're eyes so much I hope you find a brain back there pumpkin".
Ugh seriously? Pumpkin?
"Look Kyle I love you but this is taking advantage of my irrevocable love for your mom's muffins and yeah you too. I mean pumpkin? Pump. Kin. Naw"."Bleh bleh blehhhh", he replies. He misuses my love for practically everything. This is exploitation! He just said my favourite phrase from Hotel Transylvania?!? How can I not melt at such amazing phrases?
*wipes fake tears*
"Now now now pumpkin. I've gotta tell you something. And it's awfully cool. Listen to this", he starts.
