Ch. 13

After about two hours of thinking it through I decided to confront Richie about it. Anytime I actually want to stay away from him something always lures me back in some how and it's really starting to aggravate me but this time might just be the last if I get the answer I'm looking for, but what exactly is the answer that I'm looking for?

I slowly get up and walk out of my office. I see Fiona at her desk and gave her a small grin as she nodded back at me and she new that I was going to talk to Richie. As I approached his office I heard him on the phone. I quietly knocked on the door then I walked in. His eyes widened before standing up with the phone still attached to his ear. I slowly walked towards him as he is nodding and mhming on the phone still.

"All right thank you Mrs. Johnson I will see you on Saturday then" he said hanging up the phone. "I never thought I would see you waltz your gorgeous self back in here again after everything that happened." He said sounding cocky.

I rolled my me eyes then I walked over and sat on the chair in front on his desk as he leaned on the desk right in front of me. "neither did I but before I say anything who was that on the phone" I asked being nosy knowing that on Saturday is the wedding.

"Wedding stuff although you won't be attending it" he said with a smirk on his face. "why do you care?"

"I don't care" I immediately said "but anyways I needed some closure on something"

"Closure for what?" he said. then I feel a déjà vu moment comes into play except the roles are switched. I am the one actually wanting some closure instead of other people wanting it from me. I just stared up at his eyes thinking about it. I really missed staring at his gorgeous blue eyes this closely almost everyday. then the silence ended "admiring my gorgeousness are you now?"

"No" I immediately said snapping myself out of it and shaking my head and looking away from him. "but anyways I needed closure about us, I guess you can say" I said confusingly "I know you already answered this question before but I feel like that wasn't the full complete answer to it but why did you do it? you said you loved me but actions speak louder than words ,Richie , and your actions of having a pregnant fiancé, getting married to her in about two weeks at that time and being rich along the side, mind you I'm the only one who knows, doesn't make me think the words 'i love you' were real." he pushed his hair back took a deep breath then crossed his arms "yes you took me across the state to somewhere no one else knows of, yes we had sex on the beach which has always been a dream of mine by the way yes we had a nice fancy dinner yes i told you about my past and yes I told you I was falling for you" he opened his mouth to say something but I interrupted him before he did "no I'm not finished yet, i'll admit it was the time of my life and you changed me. I was a feisty bitch who didn't care now look at me, all I do is cry when I get hurt and I feel like....." I looked up at him and now he was sitting on the chair next to me leaning his elbows on his knees facing towards me. I took a deep breath and continued. "I feel like I'm the fifteen year old girl again who actually gives a damn about the world and you did that to me. I actually missed being that person"

He sat there in silence and we just stared at each other. He looked down at my lips as I caught myself looking at his. There is so much going on right now and I don't know if I should pull away or to take this chance, he still hasn't answered the question yet, yet I don't mind for some weird reason. I came here determined to get my answer and now I don't know if I want that answer. Maybe all I wanted was to set him straight of how I felt about this.

Slowly we both began to lean into each other and I'm thinking this is it. Our lips brush against each other and already I feel the sparks then all of a sudden there's a small knock at the door snapping me and Richie out of the moment.
