"Josh get up, time to go."
I rub my eyes as Jen helps me up. My muscles are sore from sleeping on the floor all night. Jen and I pack our backpacks for school, then run out to catch the bus. As I run, every muscle burns but I ignore the pain and just hop on the bus. I think that we have been getting closer to each other ever since my family fell apart.
After school, Jen asks me out and I say yes, well of course. We go to the movies after school and she pays, knowing that I can't really afford anything.
After the movie, she drives me home so I can pack my bag. I'm going to stay at her house for the weekends since my mom will be home until Tuesday. When I get in the house, my mom is screaming and my dad is arguing back. While the yelling continues, I slip out the back door and run back to Jen's car.
