This will be a very short chapter sorry :(
She moved the stick around and we saw the small little foal inside Moon's stomach, this was an absolute miracle. Mrs.Robin exclaimed, "Awe! Yes! I was right, Moon is in fact pregnant with one foal. It's too early to determine its gender, but still congrats!" I was freaking out, I couldn't believe I was going to own three horses.
I asked, " Mrs. Robin what would be a good estimate for her due date?"
She replies with, "About sometime in mid-May."
"Okay! Luckily I don't have anything that day except for school. Wait, don't mares usually give birth during night?"
She replied with,"Yes, so you should be able to watch the birth."
She finished up with Cheerio and we said our goodbyes and she left me with some life- changing news. I knew that Mrs. Robin would text my parents about Moon. I walked over to Moon's stall and hugged her neck tightly and whispered into her navy blue mane, "I will take good care of you and your precious cargo." I grabbed my phone, closed the doors and walked back home.
That night I dreamed about Moon and her cute little foal. Tomorrow is Monday and it's the first day of 9th grade. I was dreading going back, I enjoyed waking up every morning and walking through the dew-soaked grass to the barn. I liked that and I didn't want it to go away. I gently closed my eyes and drifted away to sleep. My mom was making my favorite breakfast ever tomorrow, cinnamon rolls and bacon. Yum-mm!
