Melanie POV
I was startled awake by my alarm clock. I looked over at the alarm, it said 7:00. I groaned and got up. Goodness, I hate Mondays, I though dreadfully. I rolled over and accidently fell off my bed. Facedown. Ouch. I rubbed my face and stood up.
Then, I heard my mother yell from the kitchen downstairs, "Mel, are you okay!?"
I strained and yelled back, "I'm fine, just rolled off my bed on accident!"
"Oh, okay!" I got up and walked over to my dresser and picked out my outfit for today. (pic. above) I straightened my shirt and grabbed my shoes. I quickly styled my hair into space buns and grabbed my phone off my dresser. Breakfast was calling my name, so I started to run down to the kitchen, but I stopped. I remembered I had to wake up Levi up every school morning because he's too lazy to get an alarm clock.
I stomped into his room and over to his bed. I shook his shoulders furiously, trying to wake him up. He yawned and turned over looking directly up at me. I told him sternly, "Levi. Get. Up. We have 30 minutes to eat and get down to the bus stop."
Levi must've realized I was serious, he jumped up and ran over to his dresser and put on a bright yellow shirt and some skinny jeans. He followed behind me as we barreled towards the kitchen island. My mother handed us the plates of country ham and biscuits.
We scrambled to gather our things for school. Levi and I sprinted down to the bus stop. While we were catching our breaths, I heard the bus pull up.
At school, I saw Dax leaning against the brick pillar, wating for me. I rushed up to him and squeezed him tightly. He reacted and hugged my back. Then, he gave me a soft kiss on the lips and I smiled. Dax took my hand and led me into the gym.
We sat down and I snuck a peek at Levi and Jack, who were sitting a few rows down. Jack was resting his head on Levi's shoulder and Levi kissed his head. I said "Awww, why does Levi and Jack have to be so cute together?"
Dax stared at me breifly and shrugged his shoulders. He leaned back against the gym wall and scooted to the very edge. I followed him. Instead of sitting beside him, I sat on his lap, my back against the metal bars on the side of the bleachers. He looked down at me and smiled, saying, "Wow, I'm really lucky to have a awesome girlfriend like you."
I blushed a tad and said, "Thanks, babe," I paused and cupped his face in my hands, "I love you so much."
Dax pryed my hands off his face and held them, "I love you too, princess."
I giggled and the bell rang. I started to remove my legs from across Dax's lap, but he stopped me short. He, suprisingly, picked me up and walked to the stairs, carrying me bridal style. Personally, I didn't mind one bit, I just rested there and had my arms around his neck. He carried me like this until we reached our lockers, which are right beside each other, suspicious right? Dax waved me goodbye and blew me a kiss before walking in the opposite direction to his 1st period. I walked down to Mrs. Anne's room, preparing myself for complete and utter boredom.
~Time skip to 2nd block~
I walked into class, binder in hand. I sunk into my seat beside Levi. I noticed that Jack had joined this class as well, he was obviously sitting right next to Levi. Their relationship was just....goals. I smiled when I saw them secretly holding hands under the table. Mr. Grove walked up to the front of the room and grumbled something under his breath before starting the boring, boring lecture.
~Time skip to Homeroom~
Dax huffed out a breath as he sat down beside me. Today was tough. We had 3 tests and no breaks. Listening to music always helped, to be honest. Caught off guard, Dax pulls my chair closer to his. Then, he proceeds to sit me on his lap. I curled up into him and he held me in his arms. People were staring at us, but I didn't give a crap. Dax smelled amazing, like baby powder. My eyelids slowly started to close, but I felt his hand lift up my chin.
I stared into his icy blue eyes and saw a genuine sparkle in them. I leaned forward and kissed him. He kissed me right back, his tender lips felt like absolute bliss. The homeroom bell rang and Dax stood up still holding on to me.
Eventually, he had to sit me down on the ground, but he still held my hand like the good boyfriend he is. On the bus, Dax got stopped by the bus driver. I was confused, but I continued to walk back to our spot.
The gray seat invited me to sit down and I accepted. Suddenly, this sophomore sat beside me and got really close to me. I freaked and scooted closer to the steel siding; this did not need to be happening right now.
This boy had super greasy hair, terrible acne, and crooked teeth. I mentally threw up at the sight of him; Dax needed to get back here like now.
The stranger leaned in and got really close to me. Then, all of a sudden, he closed his eyes and disgustingly closed the distance between us; almost kissing my lips.
Then, the angels stepped in, Dax roughly seized the sophomore by the arm and pulled him up. I was almost scared of Dax; I've never seen him this mad. He got right in the acne-covered teenager's face and said in a low tone, "Get. Away. From. My. Girlfriend, you scumbag."
Suprisingly, the sophomore looked petrified of him. My eyes were as big as saucers because of how protective Dax was of me. Dax turned around with a grimace on his face and slid beside me onto the seat.
I too his hand and intertwines it with mine, and inquired, "Babe, are you okay?"
His angry scowl disappeared; being replaced by a sincere expression. He squeezed my hand and said, "I'm fine, just agitated at that disgusting mess of a child."
I small smile tugged at the end of my mouth; I knew what always calmed Dax down. So, I leaned forward and kissed him on the lips. I loved that feeling. He kissed me back harder and before you knew it we were almost having a make out session. My legs were wrapped around his waist and he was pulling me closer with his toned arms. I had to stop Dax before he got too carried away, we were still on the bus. Instead, I just cuddled with him until our stop.
When it was our stop, we walked past and saw Jack laying his head on Levi's lap. I mentally 'aww'ed at that. Then, I had to interrupt them and pull up Levi, since it was his stop as well. Once off the bus, Dax stopped and said goodbye before giving me one last kiss. He turned and began to walk to his house, I turned and saw Levi rolling his eyes at me.
I playfully slapped him on the arm and we continued to walk home. He put his arm on my shoulder and acted like an actual brother. I loved him and I hope he knew that.
"I love ya, bro."
"Me too, sis."
