The bus rides were pretty laid back, everyone was listening to music, or in Heather and Abby's case a few years prior, doing crossword puzzles and laughing hysterically at eachother. The bus seats were the same every trip: Julie and Becky, Kling and Moe, Carli and Hope, Ash and Ali, Press and Tobin, Alex and Allie, Kelley and Mal, Emily and Lindsey, Alyssa and Whit, Crystal and Sam Mewis.
It was an hour and a half drive from the hotel to the stadium, and this went by pretty quickly, all the girls being preoccupied with something to do. When the bus arrived, Julie looked out the window, seeing a huge crowd of fans with signs and posters and jerseys and facepaint, a big sea of red, white, and blue. It gave Julie a large surge of pride. She smiled, and started heading off the bus.
