-Ashton-
"I talked to Luke last night." Michael says as I walk up to my locker.
That's our thing. He waits for me at my locker every morning, so I'm not alone.
"You did?" I ask, opening my locker.
"Yeah, he said he's less than a week away. He's really excited to meet you."
I sigh, a million thoughts blowing in my mind.
"Did you tell him about me?" I ask, finally deciding on a question to ask Michael.
"No, I just told him that his Soulmate must live in Sydney. He said he's going to the football game on Wednesday."
"So that means I have to go." I take a deep breath. I really don't want to be around that many screaming people for that long.
"No. You said your time's around 5 right? The game's at 7. You can come over my house after school, Luke and his mum are coming straight there once they arrive in Sydney."
I smile, slightly happy that Michael understands where I'm comfortable and not.
"Perfect. I'll ask my mum after school." I sigh contently.
"I'm so excited for you to meet Luke. You two are the perfect match." He says, going on and talking about some boy I've never met before, but will be the topic of every conversation I ever have with Michael and my mum this week. I barely know what he looks like. All I know is that he's tall, blonde, and 6' 4".
"Mike?" I ask quietly.
"Yeah Ash?" Michael says, standing in front of me.
"Do you have a picture? I don't like talking about someone who I haven't seen before.
Michael nods, unlocking his phone and searching for a picture.
"This is me and Luke a couple years ago." Michael says, showing me a selfie of the two.
I smile, finally getting to see how cute Luke looks.
Michael takes his phone back, trying to look for a more recent picture.
Luke's fringe was now in a tall quiff, and I notice a small black hoop around his lip.
"He has a lip ring?" I ask quietly.
"Yeah, is that okay?" I nod.
"I saw him only a couple of months ago, so he looks around the same. Not much has changed." Michael laughs lightly, and we begin to walk to our next class.
"How come you've barely talked about Luke?" I ask. I've been Michael's friend almost as long as Luke has, so why hasn't he mentioned him that much?
"I don't usually talk to other people about him. And every time he comes around to Sydney, you are always away on holiday." Michael says.
"Oh, okay." I nod my head.
"Here's your class Ash, good luck." I nod again, whispering a "goodbye" before he leaves.
