Jack's POV
~
I small smile creeps across my lips as I take Ianto's Christmas presents out of the bag stashed in my wardrobe. I hope he likes them, as I know I would... Hopefully my taste is just the same as his, and I didn't just buy extra presents for me!! Doubt nags at my mind but I dismiss it instantly.
Ugh, now it's time to wrap these babies. My least favourite part of Christmas.
...
Nope, I realise now that it's not gonna happen. And after 5 failed attempts, I'm out of wrapping paper anyway.
I lazily scrunch tissue paper around the two boxes and drop them into the waiting gift-bag. I sigh quietly and smile; tissue paper is my kind of low-maintenance wrapping. I slide the gift-bag under our tree and sit back, happy with my choice of presents.
The tree was an object of contempt this year, as Ianto insisted on throwing out all my mismatched Poundland decorations. I must admit that it looks better now that it's decorated to match the black-and-white theme of our room, but my stubborn side will never let me admit that to him.
I hear Ianto whistling before I see him, and rapidly plop down on the bed to avoid suspicion.
"You asleep already, Jack?" He asks quietly, sinking into bed beside me. I grumble quietly and roll away from him, then sigh with relief as he leaves my side to go and brush his teeth. Operation Christmas complete. I smile to myself.
