(Scene: A park near the school they all go to)
(Characters onstage: Narrator, Isabeau Collins, Aiden Peters and Lola Archer)
(Isaac Ambrose is sat on a bench in the park)
Narrator: Isaac snuck out and for hours her waited, popping up his sun-cream as the sun rose. He is waiting for the one he danced with, he is waiting for his Lola.
Aiden Peters: Hey Isaac! How are you? You're looking well... did your parents have a go at you when you got home so late? Just tell them it was my doing, that usually shuts the parents up, most of the time.
Isabeau Collins: I had an amazing time with you Aiden, I loved dancing with you and you're such a hero! You rescued me in my hour of need!
Aiden Peters: Oh... it was nothing... really it was nothing... I mean I couldn't let you be bulled by a man like him... no offence. I mean... I know he is you're brother... but he's awful!
Isabeau Collins: what about you Lola, who did you dance with and what was he like? I want all the details! All the details you can give me!
Lola Archer: The man I was dancing with was sweet but... I don't know who he was or why he ran out on me... I mean we were having such a great time... I guess he just didn't like me anymore or he found someone prettier...
Isaac Ambrose: I didn't mean to leave you Lola... I didn't know it was you... I mean, I'm sure he didn't mean to leave you Lola. I'm sure he cares about you and is... well desperate to see you, to dance with you again! I hope you find him, I really do.
Aiden Peters: Yeah... everyone is wandering who the man in the red mask is... No one knows who it was, people are starting to say it was Marcus but I doubt that... I don't think Marcus has it in it to be nice to someone, no offence Isabeau.
Isabeau Collins: None taken, I don't like Marcus either at the moment, he's horrible! He shouldn't have grabbed me...
Lola Archer: Marcus couldn't have been the man I was dancing with... I mean Marcus was with you so it couldn't have been him, not at all but whoever it is, I don't mind that he left, I just want to know why and know who it was!
Aiden Peters: Maybe it was Isaac, I mean he's a gentleman, he's lovely gentleman, very sweet and loyal... I'm sure he'll have no issue finding a girlfriend... I mean a lot of girls go for the 'pale, gentleman look' I mean, he doesn't seem to have a problem finding crushes.
Isabeau Collins: Well, I'm sorry Isaac but I prefer Aiden, he's so brave and heroic! I love heroes like him, he is so sweet! I mean, he took a punch for me! Not many guys do that, especially not guys that I like, they look at my brother and run a mile.
Isaac Ambrose: I only have eyes for one girl, the girl called me 'Angel Eyes', she was amazing at dancing and I loved the nickname she gave me, she is so sweet! Very, very sweet and loving. I miss her so much, I miss her in my arms... I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude... Just forget I said anything...
Lola Archer: Well, I hope you find that person, she seems like a very nice person and well you're a very nice person too. I mean... you could have a choice of anyone! Anyone you want to go out with, you can go out with! That is just what you are like! You have this... charm... this effect on people... I can't describe it... it's almost... hypnotic...
Aiden Peters: Or maybe you just fancy him like most of the girls he meets, although to be fair, he never acts on it. He's a gentleman like that. I guess he just likes being all sweet, subtle and brooding... how very modern I guess...
Isabeau Collins: Now, Now Aiden baby, I prefer you to him, sorry but I do, he's very sweet but you, you are my hero, you rescued me from my brother! How can I not love you!
(Aiden Peters and Isabeau Collins exit - stage left)
Lola Archer: So... I was dancing with... you...
Isaac Archer: Indeed, I'm sorry Lola, I didn't mean to leave you, I just couldn't stay, I wasn't trying to ignore you and you're an amazing person just things are just too complicated. I'm sorry Lola.
Lola Archer: You're not going to tell me why you left? I want to know, I need to know, please tell me, I won't judge you I just want the truth... please?
Isaac Ambrose: You want the truth? Ok, I'm a vampire Lola. I'm a vampire and I'm always hungry but I swear I only drink bagged blood.
Lola Archer: Ok... funny joke but... Really, what is the real reason that you left?
(Isaac Ambrose's fangs grow)
(Lola Archer stares)
Lola Archer: I don't know what to do... I don't want to leave you... but my family... we are... we are slayers... I'll worry about you... Isaac what shall I do?... I'm torn between your world and dad. I should be running away but it's like you're a magnet, I can't ignore it! Maybe... I don't want to ignore it.
Isaac Ambrose: Will I see you again? I mean I understand if you don't want to... I mean, I am a vampire after all and my parents suspect you're a slayer... I don't know if I will see you once more.
(Lola Archer nods)
Lola Archer: Of course you will and NOT on the wrong side of a stake, I promise... I won't tell anyone about your secret! I swear that I won't...
(Lights dim)
(End of Part Twelve)
