The ball gown was all white and lace at the top. It puffed out at the bottom after the waist. I let my hair out in soft waves and slipped into the shoes I was given. Which were also pure white and looked like they were never worn before. On top of my head, was the crown. The True Heir's crown.
"You look gorgeous." William smiled.
I slid my arm into his as we made our way to the ballroom. "You look handsome yourself."
He wore black clothing tonight making him look more gorgeous than the first day I met him outside Equites Academy. "All eyes will be on you my love."
I laughed. "Please, you are the God. They will be on you. Besides I'd rather go unnoticed because tonight is Chamania's night." I stopped at the double doors and turned to him. Smoothing out his clothing and doing last minute touches on his hair. "All done."
He leant forward and planted a soft kiss on my lips. "Shall we?"
I nodded and looks to the Queen's Guard. Slowly they moved and opened the doors. On the other side so many were already there. I think everyone was there. There were guests from all over the kingdom just for Chamania. Who was nowhere to be found at the moment. Where was she?
I glided around the ballroom with William still keeping an eye out for Chamania.
"Congratulations your grace. Lieutenant William." A guest curtsied to me.
I smiled, not knowing who they were. "Thank you so much."
William smiled. "Thank you."
"Congratulations on your courtship, your grace, Lieutenant William." Another guest smiled and bowed to me.
I smiled and thanked them. So did William. This continued on for a whole as they all congratulated William and I.
"When could we possibly hear wedding bells?" Someone asked us.
My eyes widened and William chuckled. "Well, actually we will be waiting until one of us graduates from Equites Academy. Then I'm sure wedding bells wouldn't be too long after that."
I smiled dreamily at William. Why was he such the perfect gentleman? From his looks to his character to his personality. He was just loveable. I squeezed his arm lightly to let him know how much I appreciated having him here. With me.
"Queen Gwendolyn." Behind me a voice called my name.
I turned around and saw Chamania making her way towards me with her brooch on. "My dear council member."
She blushed brightly. "Your grace." She curtsied and turned to William. "Lieutenant William."
"You must the Lady Chamania. Now the first council member on Gwendolyn's council." He smiled at her. "It is a huge honour to finally be meeting you. Gwendolyn could not stop speaking about you the moment I met her."He looked to me smiling.
I grinned cheekily. "Guilty as charged."
He turned back to Chamania. "It is as if I have let you already with the amount she had spoken about you."
I laughed. "It was not that much."
William grinned. "It was." He whispered to her so I hit his arm lightly only to laugh at me. "Chamania, you must join us on our next voyage. It would be incredible to have you there. Especially since you are such a close friend to Gwendolyn."
I nodded. "Yes you must."
Chamania grinned. "If we have enough time. With you being the Queen and me being your council member. We will be busy bee's Gwen."
I shrugged. "Yes but we must make time for our loved ones."
Chamania looked between us and grinned at me. "Speaking of loved ones. I must search for my father. If you'll excuse me." She curtsied to me before leaving again.
William and I were immediately bombarded with guests again. Until I saw an opportunity, one that comes in a little, tiny form.
"If you'll excuse us ladies and gentlemen." I smiled to them all and pulled William with me towards Ariel and little Hemlock.
"Mother." William kissed her cheek.
"Oh darlings. I can't seem to find the nanny." Ariel sighed.
I furrowed my brows.
"I sent her to fetch Hemlocks milk the to put him to bed." She looked exhausted.
I looked around the ballroom and brought over a servant. "Look for Hemlock's nanny please and bring her back to Mrs Montreal."
She nodded and left.
"Would you like me to hold him Ariel?" I asked her and stretched out my hands for Hemlock.
"Thank you darling. I must find the washroom." She smiled at me thankful.
I nodded. "Of course go. William and I will look after Hemlock until his nanny has been procured."
She kissed her sons cheek and left us with Hemlock. I cradled him in my arms and cooed at him.
"He's so beautiful William." I whispered to Hemlock.
William wrapped one arm around me and placed his other finger on his brothers chin. "So beautiful." He whispered close to my ear and let out a deep breath. "Gwendolyn, one day I want to have children. Lots of them."
I looked up to William and smiled. "And so do I. A large family with six children at the least. Six beautiful little prince's and princess'. All ours."
He gave me a beautiful smile. "We'll name them all Gwendolyn and William." I laughed at his nonsense but I loved it as well. He was incredible. "You'll be a great mother."
I looked to Hemlock. "Let us hope so because I never had a mother. I don't wish to be the same as my mother and abandon my children."
William squeezed my arm lightly bringing me back to the present. "You will not be like your mother. Gwendolyn, you will love each of your children and be there for them growing up."
I smiled at him and leant up and kissed his cheek. "We'll be there for them. Together."
We both turned to watch Hemlock once again. He was a beautiful child. Not crying, just watching us with wide eyes.
"Your grace." Someone came and curtsied to me. "My apologies your grace. I'm here for Hemlock."
I smiled and handed him over to the nanny. She had his milk in one hand and held him with the other.
