Chapter 40

Jade in the mm.

1 month later....

~Nia P.O.V~
It's been a month since I've had Neveah and I've been trying to do better. I decided not to go all crazy over Lucas and respect his relationship. Plus I have more important things to do and going crazy is not one of them.

I now have a job and I'm getting ready to move out of the mansion into a condo that I bought. I'm leaving in two weeks and I'm so ready.

Right now I was about to drop Neveah off at Lucas house since I had work. Once I got there he let us in and I went to Neveah room and put her stuff in there. I also laid her down in her crib since she fell asleep on the way here.

"When you coming to get her?"

"Around 8 or 8:30"

As I was walking to the door he had grabbed my arm and turned me towards him.

"What?" I asked snatching my hand away.

I don't wanna go down this road again and get my feelings hurt like before.

"You don't have to act like that towards me"

"Like you didn't act that way towards me? I don't have time to argue with you"

"See I'm trying to make things right with you but you acting like this"

"Okay" I said walking out of the door and getting into my car.

I made my way to work and it was this hair salon. When I got there I greeted everybody and started working on my first client.

It was now 10:00 and I suppose to get off at 8:00 but I ended up staying longer. I made my way over to Lucas house which was thirty minutes away.

Once I got there Lucas had answered the door with Jade behind him. She was walking out of the door when I went inside. When I made it to Neveah room I saw that she was sleep. She looked like she was sleeping good too.

"You didn't have to come get her tonight" Lucas said walking into the room.

"But I had told you that I was and plus it don't matter now because I'm already here"

"Instead of waking her up how about you just stay here tonight"

I was tired and I really didn't feel like driving especially at this time of night. At the same time wouldn't I be wrong?

"Okay fine" I said walking out Neveah room and following him down the hallway.

"You can sleep in my room" He said and I nodded.

When he left out of the room I went to one of his drawers to see if some of my stuff that I had left was still here and it was. At the same time I needed to see if nobody had been wearing it.

"Anybody been wearing my stuff?" I asked as he walked into the room.

"Nah I'm not gone do you like that" He said walking back out.

I went into the bathroom connected to the room and put on the pair of bra and panties. I went back into the room to get one of his shirt and saw that he was sitting on the bed.

"Oh shit, my bad" He said rushing out.

I grabbed one of his shirts that stopped at my knees and laid down in the bed.

A few minutes later he had came back into the room and sat on the bed.

"I don't feel right sleeping in this bed when someone else sleep in it with you" I said getting up and going to one of the guest rooms.
