Chapter 50

~Nia P.O.V~
Today was Valentine's Day and I was suppose to be going out to dinner with Lucas and Neveah. Me and Neveah was already at the restaurant waiting on Lucas to come.

I've called his phone like twenty times because he was two hours late. He didn't show up at all so I went on and ordered me and Neveah food.

An hour later after eating and taking pictures with Neveah we went to the park. I grabbed her stroller out of the car and put her inside.

I sat at a bench with Neveah beside me still in her stroller. I gave her a toy to play with so she wouldn't be bored.

The park wasn't crowded but it was a nice amount of people out here. It was a family that looked like they were happy. I looked to the other side where a couple was laying down on a blanket. They looked happy and in love. I wonder when I feel that way about someone.

"Is this your daughter?" A little girl asked walking up to me.

She looked like she was about my five.

"Yea"

"How come she don't have her daddy here with you guys?"

"What I told you about walking up to strangers?" A lady asked and I think she was her mother.

"I was just asking this lady why her and her daughter is alone"

"Why are you asking her that? Mind your own business and you don't even know them. Now apologize for interrupting their peace"

"I'm sorry"

"Now go over there with your father and siblings"

The little girl ran over there to play with their family.

"I'm sorry for her interrupting and asking your personal business"

"It's okay" I said and she nodded and walked off.

I still haven't heard from Lucas and I can't believe he stood me up. He probably just had plans or something but he knew we had plans together so that's not an excuse.

I decided to go to my dad house and see what he was doing. I decided to stay the night over there since me and Neveah didn't have anything else to do.

When I got there this lady answered the door. She was really pretty and she was dressed up.

"You really look just like your father" She said as I walked in the house.

"Do I know you?"

Before she could answer my dad came walking in dressed in a suit. They looked like they was about to go out on a date.

"I see you met my girlfriend Angela"

"Girlfriend?"

"Yes, I hope you didn't think I was gonna be single for my entire life Nia"

"I didn't I'm just shocked"

"Yea I see, but we about to go out to dinner"

"Okay, me and Neveah will be staying the night"

"Okay"

After they left out I got some snacks and drinks for me and Neveah. I went to the movie theater that was in the house and put on a movie. It was just me and Neveah for Valentine's Day and I was fine with that.

~Lucas P.O.V~
I was at dinner with Sydney and Junior for Valentine's Day. We were waiting on her parents to arrive so we can all have dinner together.

I was suppose to go to dinner with Nia and Neveah but Sydney asked if I could come. I didn't wanna say no because I haven't really been around.

It was only fair that I did that. Nia has been blowing up my phone but I didn't answer. I know she's hurt but she should understand. She gotta share me now and she needs to teach Neveah that. I don't want her growing up thinking I loved junior more than her. I also didn't want him growing up thinking that.

I been around more for her than I have for him. I'm just making up for the time that I missed and to show Sydney that I really care about our son.

Couple of hours later...

I had just left from dropping Sydney and Junior off at their house. I had fun spending time with them and her parents. They were cool and laid back people. Now I have to call Nia and see what she's doing.

"What?" She answered.

"Why you answering the phone like that? Is something wrong?"

"You know exactly why I'm answering the phone like this. You stood me and Neveah up and on top of that you didn't even answer your phone. What you was doing that was so important?"

"I had went out to dinner with Sydney, Junior, and her parents"

After I said that she hung up the phone. Maybe I should have said it in another way.

Now I gotta make it up to her by going all the way out. I sound like the bad person now and I don't like it at all.

My phone went off signaling that I had a text and I was hesitating about checking it. It probably was a long paragraph from Nia or a text from Sydney. I just went on and checked the message.

Nia❤️❓:

I can't believe you did that. I mean I thought you had a bigger heart than that. All you had to do was tell me you had plans and I would have understand. You made us wait hours for you at the restaurant but you didn't come. Then you ignore my calls and everything. Forget how I feel and think about Neveah. Even though you did that she made my day like always.

I smiled at the picture but felt bad at the text she wrote me. I shouldn't have done that. It's all my fault for having her feel like that. I really gotta make it up to her.

I really love her but we not ready to be together right now. This kind of stuff will happen and I don't need that. Every since I found out I had a son stuff been differently lately. I just hope she be able to forgive me for what I just did.

As I was sitting in the car just thinking my phone started ringing. I was hoping it was Nia but it was Sydney so I just declined. I didn't tell her I had plans with Nia because I knew it was gonna start something.
