*at y/b/f home*
I lay on y/b/f bed.
"Woah y/n/n look at this boy!" Y/b/f said showing me a picture of a boy on her phone.
"Hmh" I mumble looking at the ceiling
"He's hot right!?"
"Hmh"
"Y/n?" She asked
"Hmh"
"It's Ethan right?" She asked and sat next to me.
"I-I just don't know anymore y/b/f. I haven't seen him in months. Where is he? I've tried to text him, call him. But he doesn't answer." I said sitting up.
"What about his parents? Or Grayson?"
"I've called them but they only say that he wants to be alone for a while."
"Maybe they're right. Maybe Ethan is in a bad mood rn and he doesn't want to talk about it."
"But I-I've always told my problems to him and so did he to to me. But now?"
"I think you should rest" she said laying her hand on my shoulder.
"Hmh. I think I should go. Thanks y/b/f. See ya soon" I said and hugged her.
"Okay y/n. I love you"

"Hi honey" my mom said as I took off my jacket.
"Hi mom" I said and kissed her cheeck.
"You alright sweatheart?"
"Yeh. I-I'm going to my room" I said and left.
I layed on my bed and tried to text Ethan. But he still doesn't answer...
"Honey I'm making pancakes you want some?" My mom yelled from downstairs
"No thanks"
"Honey ya sure?"
"Yeh mom"
I stood up and walked to my wall. My wall was covered with photos of me and Ethan. I smiled
Someone knocked on my door.
"Mom I said no!" I yelled opening my door.
But it wasn't my mom who stood in the door.
"E-Ethan?" My voice cracked
"Oh y/n. I missed you!" He said and hugged me tight.
I froze for a second but then hugged him back.
I missed this.
"Ethan? Where were you!? I've tried to text and call you but you didn't answer." I said
"I-I just wanted to be alone for a while."
"A while? I haven't seen you in months!?"
"And I'm sorry. I love you so much y/n. Do you know that?" He asked taking my hands.
"Of course I know that. And I love you too Ethan."
We layed on my bed and cuddled.
Suddenly his phone rang.
"U I-I'm sorry I have to pick up" He said and left.
"Pfff" I sighed and waited.
He then walked back to me.
"Y/n?" He asked taking my hands.
"Yeh?" I asked nervous
"I love you. I always did, I do and I always will"
"Ethan what's wrong?"
"Okay y/n...I know a challenge. And I know you love challenges"
I smiled
"I challenge you to live a day without me. No texts or calls nothing. If you pass I will love you forever!" He smiled
"But Ethan! That's impossible!"
"Well you did it for months. Just, do you take the challenge or not?"
"Okay" I smiled and packed his lips.
"Great. I love you y/n" He said hugging me so tight I could barely breath. He kissed me and left.
*next day*
I called and text Ethan saying that I won! But he didn't answer...
I decided to go to his house. When I knocked Grayson opened.
He had tears in his eyes.
"Grayson are you alright?" I asked
"Yeh." He sniffed and gave me a letter.
"What's this?" I aksed
"It's from Ethan." He said and closed the door before I could say anything.
I walked back home and opened the letter on my bed
Hi babe. I'm sorry it has to be like this. I wanted to tell you that I have cancer...but I didn't want to make you sad. I love you so much and I will look at you upstairs...in heaven. You made the challenge! Now please do it everyday...I love you
