Skyler's POV
"Sky...Spencer died..." my mom said
I froze and couldn't say anything. Tears were coming down.
"W-what?" My voice cracked.
"Right after you left for school he wasn't doing well, we brought him to the animal clinic but he passed away..." my dad explained.
I broke down crying. My mom and dad walked towards me and hugged me.
"It's alright sweat heart, we will get you a new dog"
"But I don't want a new dog! I want Spence!" I cried
We later packed all the stuff from Spencer and put it away. I kept a few things like his collar, his favourite toy...
On the desk in my room I had a photo from me and Spencer when we were both kids. I smiled at it as a tear rolled down my face. I let myself fall down on my bed and stared at the ceiling thinking of the memories Spencer and I had.
Suddenly I heard my dad yell at my mom. I hurry got up and runned downstairs.
"What's wrong?" I asked
"Nothing honey just go back to your room." My mom said
"But I wanna know wh-"
"WE SAID GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM!" My dad yelled
I stood there with my eyes wide open. My dad never yelled at me...
"Honey I'm sorry" My dad lowered his voice and walked towards me but I runned back to my room.
"Good job!" My mom rolled her eyes.
*Next day*
I walked down the hallway in school with my head down.
"Sky. Can we talk for a second?" Devan asked
"What?" I asked not getting my eyes of the ground.
"Are you mad at me?"
"No"
"Oh okay thank god! I thought you were mad at me and also at Layla but we're so sorry I hope you know that. And I'm sorry I maybe broke your heart but I-"
He then stopped, lifted up my head with his finger and looked me in the eyes.
"Sky? What's wrong?" He asked
"Nothing" I turned my head as tears came down my face.
"You're lying" he said and walked to the other side so he could see my face.
"Hej you can tell me" He said
"Devan? Sky?" I heard Layla's voice. She runned towards us and I walked slowly away.
"No don't go" Devan said and grabbed my arm.
"Sky what's wrong? Why are you crying? Devan what did you do!?"
"I didn't do anything I swear" He said
"Devan!?" Layla raised her voice
"No he's telling the truth...he didn't do anything" I said (almost whispered)
"Then what's wrong?" She asked
Should I tell them? They both broke my heart...I can't just forget that...but they're my friends...I-
"Sky?" Devan asked cutting me off from my thoughts.
"Okay" I wiped my tears and we all took a seat on a table.
"So...first of all. I'm sorry okay. It's not my decision to decide if you guys should be together or not, and I'm happy for you guys. But it was a shock"
They smiled
"So. Yesterday... My mom called me and said I had to come home asap. So I did. And when I arrived they-" A tear slipped down my face.
"Shhh... just take a deep breath hon" Layla said and hold my hand.
I did what she said
"Spencer died" I then just let it out and broke down again.
They both didn't know what to say.
"Omg Sky, we're so sorry" Devan said
I wiped my tears and took a deep breath. We all gave each other a hug.
I think it's better now. I forgive them. As long as they're happy I'm happy too. I can't stay mad at them...I need them. I will be by their side just like they will be by mine.
This isn't the end yet oh hell naw. It's actually just getting started rn. Things are gonna happen mhm...
