Skyler's POV
I grabbed the keys out my backpack and opened the door.
My parents both sat on the table without saying a word to each other.
"Hi mom, hi dad" I said and kissed their cheecks.
"Hi honey" my mom said.
I looked at my dad but he didn't said anything.
What's wrong with them?
"Oh c'mon really?" My mom raised her voice and stood up.
"Are you really going to ignore your own child!?" She continued.
I didn't know what was happening rn. I was so confused.
My dad rolled his eyes and walked away.
"Jezus!" My mom yelled.
"Umh is everything okay mom?" I asked her.
"Sorry sweet heart. We will explain later" she said.
"Umh okay. I-I'm in my room doing my homework. If you need me-"
"It's okay Sky" she cut me off.
I nod and got to my room.
Before I planned to do my homework I checked my phone.
I scrolled through Instagram and got a notification.

She replied fast:
Grayson Dolan. One of the Dolan twins. He's hot isn't he!

Layla: yeh yeh whatever
I laughed but then heard my dad yell...again...
Me: umh...Layla Igtg cya later!
I locked my phone and tried to get to my parents without them noticing me.
I hide behind the wall but could hear them clearly.
"Why did you do that!?" My mom asked
"I did it for Sky!"
"That's just so messed up" my mom sighed.
"Well at least I do something to make her happy!!!!"
"Happy!? You think she's happy now!? That poor kid just lost her dog and now you're going to ignore her like that!?"
"What do we have to do?" my dad lowered his voice.
"We should tell her"
What are they talking about? I'm so confused rn.
"Tell what?!" I then asked.
They both froze.
"Are you guys going to tell me or not!?" I asked again.
"Please take a seat honey" My dad said
I did what they asked and gave them a confused look.
"Okay honey...promise you won't be mad. It's the best for all of us" my mom explained.
Oh no...
"Sweat heart...I lost my job" my dad said
"What?" I asked
"How?!"
"That doesn't matter rn. But I did it for you." He said and smiled.
I gave him a confused smile.
"But your dad find a new job" my mom said.
"Oh that's good! Right?" I asked
"Yeh of course but, It's not here... it's in New York honey..."
Oh no... I already know what's coming no no no....
"No..." My voice cracked.
My mom and dad sighed.
"I don't want you to go!" I cried and hugged him.
"Honey...I'm so sorry but I already bought a house there" he said
"What?" I asked shocked and pulled away.
"A house for us..." my mom said
I wiped my tears and looked at them waiting for the moment they were going to say it's a joke.
"You're kidding me right?" I asked
"We're so sorry-"
"When!?" I raised my voice.
"We have a flight tomorrow" my mom said
"TOMORROW!?"
"We already packed the stuff we need, we can buy the rest" my dad said
"You're right mom! I'M NOT HAPPY AT ALL!" I yelled and runned to my room
I slammed the door and let myself fall on my bed.
How can they do this to me? At least they could tell me earlier. How am I supposed to say goodbye to my friends now? Will I ever see them again?
