Charles Lee had conflicted feelings of this particular day.
On one hand he was with his beautiful boyfriend, Samuel, for most of the day, and that was always great. He snaked an arm around the redhead's waist, hugging him from behind as the teacher— Washington, from debate, if Lee remembered correctly— went on talking about stuff Charles honestly couldn't care less about. He pressed his lips to the top of Sam's head, earning a quiet giggle from the other as he turned to look at Lee.
"What are you doing..?" Sam whispered softly, pressing closer against Charles as he began place soft kisses down his neck.
"I'm expressin' love for my boyfriend~" Lee snickered quietly.
"Someone's affectionate today."
"I'm missin' date time so you bet I'll be all kissy."
"I'm sorry, still..."
"Don't be, Sammy..."
Lee leaned over to place a final kiss on Sam's forehead.
"PDA is not okay!"
The two jumped at the sudden hiss of a whisper and turned to look at the seemingly agitated blond man beside them.
And that's what gave Charles such a twisted feeling in his gut. Yes, he was able to spend the day with Sam but that day must've also been spent, by default, with someone Lee was less than excited about.
"Georgie please-" Sam tried but was cut off by another sharp whispered phrase.
"Show your love another way!"
Ah yes.
The dazzling wonder that was George Fredericks the third.
Lee rolled his eyes and groaned softly in annoyance. "Dude shut up we're trying to—"
"PDA is not okay!"
"—have a moment—"
"Show your love another way!"
"—George—"
"PDA is not okay!"
"—please kindly shut—"
"Show your love another way!"
"—the fuck up...!"
George fell silent at the hostile hiss of a demand and glared back at Charles, who had gotten (to most) awkwardly close in his angry attempts to shut the other up. Sam slipped out of Lee's grip as the blond man began to pout and Charles looked to his boyfriend in both shock and confusion.
"Sammy? What are you doing?"
"You went to far, Charlie.." Samuel murmured softly, glancing at the pouting George in concern before carefully wrapping his arms around the taller of the three.
"He was being obnoxious—"
"He was stating a true opinion."
"—he should learn to stick to his own business—"
"He just worries for others."
"I can't believe you're defending this childish son of a—"
"Charlie stop it!" Sam cut him off sharply and Lee flinched a little, quickly going quiet as the redhead turned away from him and cuddled the blond other.
"Sam this is—"
"Boys?" the call from Washington in the front made Charles once again shut his mouth. "Is everything alright...?"
"Everything is just fine, sir," Samuel replied a bit softly, gripping on to George and nuzzling him a bit as the eyes of the group focused on the three.
"Okay... if anything's the matter, then feel free to talk to me."
"Yessir," Charles piped in, moving close to Sam and putting a hand on his shoulder gently, sighing in relief as both Washington turned away (to continue doing whatever he was doing before) and Sam relaxed to the touch, eventually pulling an arm away from George and holding it out to him with a small smile (while still hugging the blond British bitch, but Charles would take whatever he got).
Lee took joy in the little things he and Sam did, and linking arms in a Gay Support Group Meeting was just the thing to lighten his day and make him actually pay attention to what Washington had to say. He explained some psychological stuff about partner work and how it helps you form more trusted relationships blah blah blah...
(Ok. So Lee was paying attention to what Washington had to say... for about three minutes.)
More psychological shit (Charles assumed), more examples of said shit, answering questions as to the method behind this shit— and then he was listing off names, and Lee decided he should probably listen in.
Connor and Kevin. Sonny and Pete. Daniella and Carla. Poptarts (Christopher) and James (Church). Lafayette and Samuel (damn). George (Fredericks) and George (Washington... Charles supposed there wasn't an even amount of members because of him. Woops). And, finally, James (Madison) and Lee himself.
