I put my last horse poster up. "Done!" I exclaimed. Tucker, who was asleep on my new covers, looked up sluggishly, then plopped his head back down. I sighed, plopped down on my beat up wood chair, and started to read. One more day till school starts. I should get as much me time as I can in, I thought.
Towards dinner Logan stomped in with his earbuds plugged into his IPhone. I looked at him quizzically. "Mom kicked me out," he grumbled. "She's putting my bed together."
"Oh." I said. "Well, sit." He did, and after a couple minutes I finally broke the silence.
"What's 10th grade like?"
He looked at me. "Terrible. Too much homework, lots of projects. The good thing, though, is that we can actually leave campus for lunch. But i really like skipping class!" He teased.
"Logan!" I punched him in the shoulder.
"I'm kidding, i'm kidding." He rubbed his shoulder.
Mom called for him.
Logan smiled. "See ya, Sayge-a-roo."
After he left, I sunk into my mattress. I wasn't ready to start all over. I wanted my old friends, our house, the farm back. Why did we leave?
