First day of school, who will I meet? Who will I be, what will I wear? I thought. I could feel my heart beating and my stress levels were extremely high; I hated the first day of school and I missed all my friends. I took a deep breath to calm myself. I could do this.

I stepped through the huge double doors that lead to the school. Yes, it was a normal activity for some but it was a huge step for me, a new school. As soon as I walked in a girl jumped right in front of me. She had a great sense of style.

"My name's Casimira. I make it my job to know everyone, and you're obviously new here! What's your name?"

"Sayge," I murmured, and blushed, looking down at my feet.

"Sagye. I recognize that name. You're the new student I'm supposed to take around! It's one of my jobs," She added.

Another girl walked past. "Hey, Lea!" Casimira waved. Lea gave a faint wave and small smile, and came over to Casmira.

"Kwey, Cas. Who's this?" She said quietly.

"This is the new girl I'm showing around. Sagye, meet Lea. Lea, Sayge."

"Enhehn, you're in my homeroom." Lea said to me, checking her class schedule. "Well, Madjashin!"

Once she walked away, I was curious.

"What was she talking about?" I asked.

"Oh, she was speaking Algonquin," Casmira replied. "Her real name is Sooleawa. It means silver."

Well, so much for a stereotypical first day.

P.S. Shoutout to my friend Kailey! She's not on Wattpad but she helped write this chapter.
